Justice served...YNWA
POLICE and emergency services made “strenuous attempts” to deflect the blame for the Hillsborough disaster onto innocent fans, an independent panel revealed today.

The explosive report found that police failed to protect the 96 victims who died – and then tried to blame Liverpool supporters for the tragedy.
Today the Prime Minister David Cameron said: “The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.”

Death sentence would be too harsh. It is not 1st degree murder. It is involuntary manslaughter. I would say 20 years in prison without parole (unfortunately caning is not available there or else 50 strokes of Rotan)

As for those that are dead already, exhume their guilty body and hang their head on London Bridge. hehehe. Sounds like 14th Century era. LOL

That's why I dont want them to die. It would be too lenient. Let them rot in prison. biggrin.gif

I hope so too. At the end of the day, money can only do so much consolation for the losses and injustice they have to endure all these while.
But still, they should be compensated.

there is a reason why this victory for justice is VERY important.

in 1997 a similar inquiry was held, but the person who chaired it did not dug extensively despite all the evidence sitting there. The Secretary of the State of that time, Jack Straw was reportedly (just now) quoting that he was full of regret and sadness that in hindsight he had somehow did not pay attention / the matter slipped through him, and if he could turn back the clock, he would have forced the inquiry back in 1997 to dig and use ALL related evidence.

in short, the justice prevailed, is nothing short of a miracle. The families were denied once.

The closure for JFT 96 brings an end to a long running saga of hardship, difficulty and anguish. What a way to mark the end, after a poignant speech by Mr. Cameron, the huge sigh of relief and justice finally served. This closure means = $$$. I am not being cynical nor stereotypical, and i really hope from the bottom of my heart, the families affected will get some form of compensation and token, especially this being drag for like 2 decades??!!

Not only this incident drag the people of Liverpool down, but it leaves a mark on Liverpool, as our play went downhill afterwards...really hope by this, will lift the club out of 'doldrum', sorry I am being dramatic, and cast away the curse that follows the club. And finally to the families affected, i hope the revelation brings peace. To the departed, RIP.

The moment that made it all possible .. I'm sure some of us were watching it back then. It's incredible that it would set everything into motion and change everything.
