if the real reason for FFP is to make sure no more clubs fall like Leeds...

cant they just make sure every club's balance sheets are acceptable? lets say certain percentage of debt (if any)?

why manutd so supportive of the idea? well it just make you suspect, right?
*
because FFP will ensure the rich remain rich and the poor remain poor. No more cinderella story like whats happening with man city and chelsea.

if a poor club become good one season, they will be raided by the rich club and they have to sell.

i on the other hand think chelsea's win was incredible considering the circumstances...

i think even abramovic must be pinching himself and ask..what did we just win again?...really?

I also feel the same when i read new revelations how the US actually knew but hushed up soviet's accountability for the katyn masacre.

I don't know what to make of this post, are you actually being sincere or trying to take the pi$$ out of us fans here?

no la. i sincerely thinks the similarity between Katyn and Hillsborough is uncanny.

The new evidence about Roosevelt cover up even came on the same day as the publication of the report by the Hillsborough Independent Panel.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-19552745

i always felt a deep sorrow when people from around the world unjustiably lost their lives. As with family members of Hillsboro, family members of Katyn's POW must have felt a deep sence of relief when Soviet admit to their wrong doing after blaming the Nazis for five decades.

But with this new evidence, justice will not prevails for Jerzey Dudek and co until Barrack Obama aplologize on behalf of the US and maybe David Cameron also should follow suit.

I started at the end of Houllier's tenure, around 2004 i think, just before Rafa came in. I remember thinking, 'what's all this fuss about football' as I turned the telly to a Liverpool match. Then I saw this strange looking dude with reddish hair launch the ball in with a long throw. I would later learn he had a sweet left foot too. And that's how I started following the Reds, literally the first team I watched on telly...haha. On another note, my manager yesterday was surprised when I told him I supported Liverpool. He supports them too and said I'm too young to have known them in their prime...sadly I think a lot of people my age are either Chelsea, MU or MC fans.

quite the same story with me two... only sub 2004 for 97/98. and "strange looking dude with reddish hair launch the ball in with a long throw." with Alessandro del Piero. And of course Liverpool with Juventus.

During my primary school era, I am poorfag so, I went to my neighbor house to play video games and he played CM97/98.

He dont allow me to pick/create new team, but ask me to be his assistant and run the game while he went to toilet or something. I kena marah when his team lose, he blame cuz I dont sub tired/injured player sad.gif

He picked Liverpool.

Since then, I started to support Liverpool.

CM2 97/98 was the best ever. I go from knowing nothing about football to memorizing the first eleven for all the team league in just one semester break.

I took Leyton Orient BTW. Becase the name sounds cool.

ref ruined the game ? am i the only liv fan here that actually thinks both decision was okay ? i mean come on, yes they were pretty soft, both the penalty and red card, but if i were the ref, i think i had the right to sent shelvey off. and the penalty was an alright decision, its not like its a CLEAR DIVE or anything. there was contact, no complains from johnson, he did so well to try to recover, reina prolly had a chance to save it anyways.

i think suarez complains too much, gerrard shud tell him to concentrate on the game, yes the red card spoiled the match for us, but that is not an excuse. if chelsea can beat barca 1-0 with 10 men, y not us.

n yes, i finally saw the complete gerrard in shelvey  brows.gif if u guys know what i mean (gerrard going in 2 footed when he was much younger )

i dont really blame players in this situation. they did not intentionally break the rules. i despise players who intentionally pull players's shirt more.

but what they did are dangerous and both should be red carded.

really though call for hasley to make.

It's a big game and emotions are running high. If you want to calm things down, a yellow card to both players would have suffice. Sending the player off - especially when there is neither intent nor action - ruins the game. If you're giving a red, you have to be bloody sure the player's at fault.
*
both of the players are at fault. the ref have every right to send both of them off.. i think hasley is wrong to let Evans stay on the field but Shelvey clearly cannot complain about his card.

the thing is despite the relegation position, Liverpool really are playing good football this season.

the bubble of loserness will burst sooner or later. And when that happen, liverpool will slingshot forward as long as poeple dont give up beforehand.

Not sure how you are intepreting it but the way I see it, Shelvey went in the challenge with his right leg, his left leg was firmly planted on the ground DURING the challenge itself (far away from Evans and the ball). After the contact with the ball (Shelvey won the ball btw), his momentum sent his whole body forward, he had to move his left leg or his leg will break. His left leg left the ground AFTER the challenge. Compare that to Evans whose both leg left the ground DURING the challenge, and both leg going towards the ball.

Edit: Anyway why are MU fans inside a thread called 'Kop Talk'? This thread is for fellow Reds to discuss la... Uninvited guest...  whistling.gif

I think shelvey red card is because he stud touched evans leg. Isnt that kinda thing almost killed rooney thw last time.

Btw there is no neutral place here in this lounge so if people want to talk about liverpool positively or negatively this should be the place.

U mean after the ball moved away and Shelvey's foot hit Evans' thigh? If he was being sent off for that, I think that is a bit harsh, he was hardly aiming for Evans leg, it was his momentum taking him forward that caused that. But fair enough, I could see how that is dangerous for Evans.

Discussion is okay, but I only see baiting and flaming... my opinion of course...
*
The idea is if you cannot gurantee you opponents safety while lunging into the tackle ( there are alot of hard tackles done safely using correct technique ), than you should pull out of it. Of course, granted, that there are very limited opportunity for that judgement process to happen being Shelvey in a Liverpool vs Man United match at Anfield.

BUt still, never mind if the blades can cut an artery or something, Shelvey's leg was visually in full momentum in perpinducular to Evan's shin bone. if he cannot control his momentum any further, not much more force needed to break those bone. Football mut not only be save, but it must also appear to be save as well. Thats the referee job and Selvey left the referee no choice...

Saying that, Evan's lunge was equally dangerous as well. Both should be red carded IMO. The ref took time to judge the situation carefully and made the correct call on Shelvey but dissapointingly choked on Evans.

what a shame. They are indirectly mocking at their own team. It seems to me as though fans of theirs dun really love the club. They just jump on the successful bandwagon, claim the club's glory and uses it to laugh at others.

Good one. That is actually standard SOP everywhere really.
