Guys.. i encountered a problem with my s3 just now. It was charging normally when all of a sudden it kept on disconnecting from the charger n reconnect back. This happened a lot! I tried turning it off n charge it but it switches on by itself immediately after i turn it off. Any ideas?

try to find the brightness script @ xda there, provided you have root access, they have one matching gnote, which is very nicely configured brightness

or

dont use auto brightness

or

use anti glare sp with not using auto brightness

I might do a clean wipe and flash the rom again and see if it is still there..

Thanks for the suggestion!

I don't have root access yet. So, I guess the best is to not use auto brightness for my screen?

there is a reason why sammy put the brightness slider on the notification bar. whenever im out in the sun i will toggle on auto brightness. some people actually think auto brightness is stupid that when u r out in the sun it will dim your screen, it does not. auto brightness brightens the screen when surrounding is bright, so that you can see it and when u r in the dark, it will dim the screen so that, incase, the screen is too bright for indoors that it will hurt your eyes from looking at it. auto brightness is good in this way.

but on the contrary, leaving your screen on high brightness will be really bad for your AMOLED display. i will only use auto brightness when i'm outdoors, it works great. and when i'm indoors i will push the brightness slider to the min.

Hi all,

I was wondering, will I lose my CWM manager if I installed a custom ROM? Also do in need to re-root the phone everytime I installed a new rom?

Thanks a bunch smile.gif

Anyone has problem connecting S3 with USB?

It always disconnect midway. I have to keep disconnect and connect again. This also happens while transferring files midway.

Until I give up, pull microSD card out and plug direct to pc for transfer.

Depends on what rom you installed. You can always install it back through apk file readily available from xda
No need reroot as long as you are not flashing official stock using odin in PC

Maybe is your usb port problem or cable problem
I prefer to use wifi file explorer app which is faster
