you can buy from indian but lenovo warranty you can check onlin. very easy.
just go to the google and open lenovo warranty status put the original laptop sr. no.
if get the information about warranty then its mean laptop is new not refurbished.

170W power brick able to power only single GPU, if i disable SLI?

I think 170w psu will able to power 1 and 2 graphic

And 120w only 1 graphic

before I got the 170W pwr adapter i tried to use the 120w version to power up both 650M. It can run without a problem but i didnt dare to use it for long hours. Too much heat and stress on the adapter.

I'm planning to buy Y400 this friday. Since its my first laptop purchase, can sifus give me some tips and guides for things to check, test, questions to ask and things to upgrade? budget around 3K.

International warranty available for this model?

make sure its a seal box - open in front of your eyes... take note on serial number on the box before you leave them to setup... or to be the best... just wait and see all the process.... ( dont leave your sight on your new laptop)

Hey all Lenovo sifu's, i am looking at upgrading, deciding between Y500 and Y580...

Want to ask, GT650m SLI or GTX660m more makan battery (Or course under fully loaded condition)??? I need to go mobile for long term at times...

Y580 will last longer on battery since Y500 has disabled the Intel HD graphics

Y580, Nvidia Optimus enable GTX660M when required. Under normal usage, Intel HD 4000 will be used, which is a lot more battery friendly.
Y500, on board GT650M is on all the time, which drain battery a lot faster compared to Intel HD 4000 (Nvidia Optimus is not enabled).

I see... Okie dokie thanks, i know which direction to go now

Btw, i played played with my friend's Y500, not really liking it besides its ganas and more "gaming lappie" looks. Want to open rear to replace parts also susah, he almost snapped the cover

May i ask, how does the second GT650M kick-in???

Just curious, possible to choose which GPU is primary??? So we dont load only one of it too often???

imo the rear part quite easy to open...juz take out the ultrabay then pop open only O.o...how he open till can snap cover @_@...
