same case as mine. glad i wasn't the only 1 who got this issue  tongue.gif

what i did was i reset it to factory setting using this method:
1st remove & reinsert batt. push power button & volume down to boot the phone in safe mode.
while in safe mode, note that the available apps in this mode are only stock apps.
open backup & restore app, back up all your ESSENTIAL data only (i recommend these apps only = contacts, calendars, messaging, bookmarks, notes, email, whatsapp). DONT back up game data, trust me i've tried to back up game data so many times but always failed to restore the phone properly.
create ur backup file in ur sd card.
also connect ur phone to pc, move all your media files (pictir, songs, documents) from phone storage to sd card/pc.
then go to settings > backup & reset > factory data reset (remember, there's no turning back from this, so make sure to double-triple check making sure all ur essential data won't be wiped out)
factory reset ur phone, tick erase internal storage
after reboot, restore ur data then all will be well again... hopefully sweat.gif

it worked for me but i didn't bother with it anymore coz i got a new phone lol

and yeah i also suspect downloadable custom theme has got something to do with this  hmm.gif

I tried reboot in safe mode many times, still cannot get past the waving xperia screen.
Finally I used flash tool and flashed to stock firmware.
Phone has been working great. Finally. Now using 4.1. Scared to use 4.3 anymore..

Although I miss certain feautures of 4.3. Haha but I think will just stick with 4.1 at the moment until all the bug has been resolved.
Now my ram has 300++ mb free compared to when using 4.3 which left with less than 100MB...

I see, then no point for me to do factory reset. I was hoping you could share more XV 'rape' stories with us, but you already got your new baby the z1c so...

I see. Everything working well so far? Camera, data connection etc?

I read that someone using SUS got downgraded to 4.1.2 on the Sony support forums. Wonder if it's true or even possible? hmm.gif

Well, I'll go ahead and try to update via SUS tonight and see what happens.

Alright.

Re-installed firmware using SUS, and still got 4.3. So I don't think there is a rollback by Sony, probably just stopped the rollout for 4.3. I had to download apps again and restore certain things. Camera now works fast and smooth but video clicking sound is still there.

If you all feel want to rollback to 4.1.2, why not download ftf file and flash it via flashtool. Not difficult and very easy. Once you have the ftf file, you can keep it in your hardisk and flashing that file was faster than PCC.

Previously I use that Singapore firmware. No problem at all. Currently using rooted 4.3 also download from XDA developers. Now I'm able to get back 12MP Superior Auto after root.

If you have a rooted 4.3 JB, you can download an apk files and place it in system folder with correct permission. I also use Z1 email app on my device. What I like about rooting is I can delete/uninstall useless app and reduce RAM usage. I use this and 12mp Superior Auto

Sure no problem? I encountered few such as

1. Sometimes when answering calls, my loud speaker get activated automatically
2. Volume bar bug with downloaded theme
3. less than 100MB free ram
4. And just last week, my phone stuck in continuous loop boot.. Can't even boot with safe mode..
Solved by flashing with flash tool back to 4.1 jb..

I've been using this phone for the past 6 months without any problems, and it only took a month of using 4.3 update that it started giving me problem..
Hope Sony will release new update that'll fix all the bugs.. Or else we're forced to root and unlock BL

What I mean was 4.1.2. For JB 4.3, I did't encounter loud speaker during phone call. Maybe its because of I'm using a Horizontal flip case. During call, I can answer it without flip my case. Maybe the sensor already blocked by that case and maybe that also prevent this bug to happen.

For item 2, I believe the bug still there. But I did not use theme that much. I also rarely recording a video. So far, I did not try to check this bug.

About RAM, yes this latest firmware eat a lots of RAM. But mine never got less than 100mb. Even before root my phone, never got it less than 100mb. After root, I can increase free RAM after uninstalling useless appa. I can confirm after root, it always less than 200mb.

About loop boot, I never experience it before.
