Or maybe because of the design? It's waterproof, so my theory there'll be not much room for heat dissipation? If you noticed, the back cover have some rubber/silicone line that completely sealed the battery and internal parts.

but the part where you feel the heat is above the battery, near the lens and the flash... or am I the only wan experience overheat at that part? hmm.gif

Hi guys, i'm new around here. Just wanna share my experience using the XV..

been using it since 1/3/13 (birthday present from wifey biggrin.gif ) with stock ICS..never actually believed that 8 hour charging rule, so I unplugged the charger whenever batt bar reaches 100%.

Batt life was good, would last around 10~12 hour normally (i'm somewhat mod/heavy user). but after upgrade it to JB, batt life went significantly down to 8 hours max. and this is when i start to experience overheat problem.

never experienced any SOD, mind you i never charge with wifi turned on.

already submerged my XV in swimming pool (over 1mtr depth), sea water, hot ciken curry (dropped!), and in pepsi (show off to friends).. still in perfect working condition thumbup.gif

so far i'm very satisfied with this phone rclxm9.gif aside from batt life issue. but batt can be changed which is a huge ++

after this wanna try root with locked BL. many thanks for the link neuro! rclxms.gif been looking all over for it in the past few days

My monday blues have just gotten interesting with this update from xperiablog drool.gif brows.gif

"The DLNA certified Android 4.3 firmware builds for a number of Sony Xperia devices earlier this week, hopefully implying that there are no delays to the rollout. Sony Xperia devices that passed DLNA certification on 10 December include the Xperia SP (C5302, C5303, C5306, M35h), Xperia T (LT30p, LT30a), Xperia TX (LT29i) and Xperia V (LT25i). There’s ten days left until Christmas, so let’s hope that we’ll start to see official Android 4.3 before then."

Fellow XV users, great news from Sony! (don't get your hopes too high, it's not about 4.3 FW update.. at least not yet) The Sony Motion Shot app that was exclusively featured only in Z1, is now released for all Xperia devices running ICS and above. Check it out~ rclxms.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

I for one preferred the current sony ui design (black) in my XV than the one in 4.3.. i guess that's the new approach sony wants their user to adapt sad.gif

have you ever encountered home screen redraw after exiting games or browser?i.e. the home screen icons are in boxes then reappear the icon
this happens because XV is release ram from cached app and xperia home is on cached app in current fw....and the leak screen shot shows that xperia home is running app instead of cached app...
*
so you mean to say after upgrading to new fw, we won't be experiencing the home screen icons & widgets loading lag? Neat! rclxms.gif many thanks ryu for that info notworthy.gif

After that, did you need to open the back cover and dry it inside ? Or just use as normal.. (let the phone dry itself)?
*
As for me, i'd just use it back as if nothing happened.. once every 2 months i go back to my hometown in kemaman, and never fails to bring my XV with me for a swim in the seas. i think it has been 6-7 times i swam with my XV, taking countless pictures & videos of family members swimming/diving.. and i'm sure at 1 point i took it deeper than 1.5mtr. sometimes got sand particles stuck in celah2, but i just buat dunno. been using XV as my main & only phone for almost 13 months now.. so yeah, XV waterproofing is really gud nod.gif

just my 2 cents
