my s2's wifi recently(yesterday at around 9am, actually) failed.
i think someone else mentioned in this thread the same problem-switching on the wifi will just make it hang at "turning on wifi" and never actually switch on.
so if i return this to samsung for warranty purpose, how long will it take to be fixed? any idea?
i flashed the phone to AOKP's JB rom and about a week or so later this happens. even after flashing back to stock rom, the problem isnt permanently fixed. Managed to get the wifi on last night for a few minutes and it automatically went off again.
so leads me to believe it's the wifi hardware that's broken, not a firmware or software issue.
so, anyone with experience returning the unit to samsung for repairs? it should still be under warranty as i bought the unit from samsung SME 1 utama which gives 2 years warranty.
on that note, anyone returned the unit to Samsung 1 Utama? do they charge for sending the unit to be repaired?
TLDR version:
wifi antenna spoilt
need to send for repairs
does Samsung 1 Utama charge for sending the device to them
