galaxy nexus (jellybean) vs sgs2 (ics samsung rom)

the galaxy nexus practically slower in all aspect.

i think project butter only focus on scrolling/transition smoothness,
and no change in actual speed

in the 2nd video, can see nexus so much smoother in browser.
thats where project butter shines.

anyone carry spare battery wherever you go?
how do you guys take it with you?
directly put in your pocket naked seems risky, sweat may short the battery contacts, short it, and cause it explode.

do you use some kind of battery container?

hope you can help me here. i did a hard reset but my sim still not detected.

i google around and found most likely imei corrupted

i checked my imei and indeed it show unknown. i try to google around for any restoration method and although there are solutions provided, it is too difficult for me to follow

anyone who has direct experience can share how to restore the imei info?

why u so sure samsung making the coming nexus phone? according to numerous tech site, maybe will have more than 1 nexus device.

as for chipset, i guess they'll use a tegra 3 one. easier since same with nexus 7. haha. just guessing.

anyway, still satisfied with s2. dont plan to change phone, just ordered a battery from brotan, hope to use it few years more.
even on ics, i feel s2 quite on par with nexus 7.

nexus 7 great, but hardware issue. sent mine for warranty, speaker spoil.
if you got folo xda, nexus 7 really alot hardware issues.

nexus device really not as perfect as people think.
limited storage kindda sucks once you're used to big big storage via micro sd slots.

Hey there.

Here's what I did when I experienced that.

1. You need to have backup of your efs (MUST MUST MUST).
2. Assuming you have backup your efs (check your Sd card), try restore it.
3. Try a hard reset after restoring and before restoring efs.
4. Remove your SD card and wipe and try to restore efs again.
5. Format everything (efs backup move to computer first) and try redo your efs restoring.

The steps are like like #1 fail, head to #2 etc etc.

I remember spending whole Saturday trying to restore my efs and finally I managed to get it done. Without your efs, pretty bad luck where you need to send to SC already.

Samsung Sweden took to their Facebook page to announce the tentative release dates of firmware for different devices. We do know that Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (from the test firmware) will get the Android 4.1 update but there was no word for the rest of the devices. The list as we can see just gives a tentative timeline that does not reveal the Galaxy Note’s date but suggests Galaxy S II users in Sweden will get the Android 4.1 update in November, just after its successor has been updated in October-November.
