Still got spare change from his 24-70 fund, can get a prime also or a Flash Gun. Couldn't agree more.QUOTE(Agito666 @ Oct 23 2012, 02:55 PM) f/1.8 ya, but then i not occasionally facing it lol... only kena when i kena bomb from colleague wedding If you would have gotten the combo above, you already shot at least 10K of good photos while waiting for your FX body to arrive. It isn't that you'll be godlike in low-light when you got FX body to pair up with 2470, without flash still insufficient of light at most of the time in low-light condition.nah recent low light shot: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « spoiler because that is my colleague family :s » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Sorry ya if I poke you, I actually jeles you got 2470 |

Actually depends on what you use for, for general use, you won't really complain unless you're shooting sports or important events. For your usage, I don't think it'll be a problem for you.ya combo is nice, but then i not really perfer on 3rd party lens. By that time, maybe there is new version 24-70mm already who knows? Hehehe But then it's up to you, as long as you're happy with your choice and purchases. QUOTE(cuteyuzikid @ Oct 23 2012, 11:46 AM) I actually plan on buying a D5100, 18-55 this weekend, but there are some questions I'd like to clear out: last week a colleague also ask the same question.Should I just get the body only, and forego the 18-55? Coz from what i hear the kitlens are "a piece of plastic shit" etc etc bad news Or should I change the kit set to maybe an 18-200/18-105? Someone even suggested to just get a fast prime 35/50 f1.8 and save up for the zoom lens. I'll have to take into account my main priority which is to travel light as well. Do you guys have any opinions on this? Would sincerely like to hear more opinions coz i'm pretty unsure still. here is the suggestion i gave to him: buy D5100 boy + used nikon 18-105mm overall he spend ~1500 for the body and ~700 for the used lens, within his budget and enjoy the camera. |

Ahh, those people who thinks D800 can't do motorsport is clearly wrong... I'm starting to like it more than my D700 despite only 6fps xD
