i tried the d600 that day and was blown away with ISO performance. wayyy better then my 700 sad.gif im still undecided on d600/d800 for next body for various reasons but i shall just stfu as i wont be getting either one any time soon.
the thing is right, i dont know how different the AF between the two as i usually use the center focus point and refocus no matter which body i use. so even if its inferior, its still same to me as i use center point 90% of the time haha

do u guys agree that u use center focus point more? or u all just use 51pt AF as in camera selects where to focus?
*
Thanks for your valuable feedback sir notworthy.gif
I've only used 11 points AF on my D90, sometimes not only using the center focus point laugh.gif
I've never tried the 39/51 points AF before so I'm basically clueless haha, maybe will need to go to try out some actual units too~

Thanks again yo thumbup.gif

I also tried the d600 last weekend during a photowalk in my area. damn clean ISO performance! was thinking of getting a used d700 for RM 4000 with ori battery grip and 3 batts. Now Im undecided and confused, as the image quality is really up to par. *.*

depends on situation. normally like 90% I will select it. Unless im shooting without looking at viewfinder i may try auto.

well, locally one of the star photographers has used his canon point n shoot tongue.gif

bottom line is, a good pic is a good pic regardless of what equipment is used.

the focus bracket area for D600 is relatively smaller compare to others FF model, so make sure u can accept it before make the purchase. for those use to single point at middle then no issue la...

for ppl come from DX like D300S or D7k that has the focus bracket cover almost all area will find hard time to get use to it. at least it happen to me from D7k.

check below link for the comparison with diff model

yaya same. if not looking then flip switch to auto haha. i love that switch, i find the new one abit susah cos got to look inside viewfinder/top lcd/or count 3 clicks on front dial.

To me, crop sensor don't have 100% coverage in VF
Except mayb D7k ?

Idk, but I think because large sensor, 100% VF that's why make it small for the AF coverage ?! but of course Nikon can make it wider but seems D800 also the same case hmm.gif

your D800 might have that AF problem, it can be fixed with software updates.
Google and search for articles , i think some sifus here had the same problems too

yeah, d7000 has 100% VF.
D800 has 51 focus point, overall it slightly wider than the D600.

but all this is compare from the web and also user comments, dont have the chance to touch n feel the D800...
