Time to show off my stable.

This game is stupidly grindy though. I took 2+ years to get up to this point. Not non-stop playing off course. On and off. I tend to come back to the game when it has a worthwhile event, like MC up for grabs.

I spent actual money on MC on buy some mech bays and Wave III. The Sparky was obtained via MC gained from events.

I have also mastered Jenners and Trebuchets but sold them all off as they were obsolete and I needed free bays at that time.

My naming convention is not very original. Its just a simple way to remind me of each mech's loadout.

paladinowp likely has far more mechs than me though.

last nite juz earn enough money from CW and the new academy to buy a timber wolf s but no money left to customize it

That's why I said this game is grindy.

It does get easier though. Once you hit our level, you make a whole lot more money per game with optimised builds. Plus some of our mechs give us a 30% bonus to c-bill earnings.

But the early grind...painful...

Edit: Incidentally, you should have bought a Stormcrow. Its a great mech, and cheaper to boot plus the Medium queue is less saturated.

I like playing Heavy mechs too but the queue times...

Mad Cat MKII is my favorite mech in mechwarrior 4 and i get destroy by timber wolf countless time in CW
so if you cannot beat them, join them

is a laser sniper build good for grinding?

Only after you mastered it and have the 2x bonuses, else your mech is hot as hell.

Until your mechs are mastered, ballistic is the way to go. Or SRMs if you are good at brawling.

And I hate to say this, but LRMs. LRMs make it very easy to grind up a mech. Of course, its team dependent and you have to hope the other side doesn't have ECM or you'll just have a very bad day but you would already know this since you have a HBK-J.

as for lrm, i feel hard to get the kill and high damage = less money and exp
or maybe just the lrm 10 x2 on the hunchback is not enough
i have play a few match with the original TBR-S, brawling is fun but i always over extend and die
rush in, kill 1 enemy mech, overheat then die

I have some mechs, most of them bought with cash, spent quite a lot dy... haha

grind your way to have 50+ mechs is really some hardwork,

I think I can make it to 2, but I spent a lot of time playing badly while trying to figure out the Shadow Cats which were an underwhelming mech.

If I played only my best mechs with meta builds, sure can get up to 2 wan but where's the fun in that? Must take the Adder and Cicada out for a spin every now and than.

and then i tasted the elixir of Lazer vomits
it's the most tastiest vomits i had ever have.

i think anyone with ping around 15~20 are practically malaysia like PT Penang and Pisang Goreng

Somehow they are less frequent visiting lowyat. I know some group are playing. Esp 5SSP group. Come dont be shy, just throw money at battletech game. haha
