Both my 5600/5610 are also at H. They've been sitting in total darkness for more than two months too.

The s5600 has been in total darkness for half a year i think because i don't wear it at all.

The 5610 is too good a servant and is always my grab and go watch. Its the only watch i ever need to be honest.

eh mine's the 5610 lol...

it reminded me of the first g-shock i had way back when.

Ya, its like my do hard shit piece and friday watch when i dress down.

I have heard bad comments when you open up the g shock to change battery.. usually got issue after that...

Because most Gshocks have plastic body and the back cover is attached using those four screws. I think Once the screws are removed, the plastic body, housing for the screw threads will be compromised so, it makes sense that its never gonna be the same again after a back case removal and reinstall procedure.

there's a gasket around the caseback...as long as thats still ok...then no issues.
very rarely the screw thread gets stripped.

Its gone because people always forgot to screw back the crown once performing the settings and that may be the cause of water seeping in.

I will go  to the extend of changing the G Shock Strap and some easy bazel dial ontop only. Opening up the battery compartment is really tricky and most of the time will ruin the Water Resist functionality

Thus I find that tough Solar really can retain its power juice longer than other solar operated ..?

Both true and false hmm.gif just don't simply change them in any mom'n'pop shop. Safest bring it back to the svc centre, and if any issue the technicians there will fix it for you.
