Between the 5000 and 5610, which would be a good choice for a first g-shock? I'm quite sure I have one way back then that is lost to time, so want to get one to add into my collection.

No love thus far the the 69XX ma .. I was looking at the DW5000, crazy price and no one seems to carry the GW-M5610 here, so I went to try that instead.

you can try your luck at GoldBlitz Pertama Complex

the baby-G i bought for my wife was out of stock almost everywhere in Klang Valley, funny thing they have it and it was a new shipment
*
Yea, that pic was from there.

They might be able to order it, but I wanted to see it IRL before making that jump, oh well, no choice lo.

The 6900 does look bigger and more "gshock"-ey in my mind. 5600 seems just bit too small.

I checked out the 5500 as well, didn't fancy is as much. 5000 is probably my go to for now.

what i dont like about 5600 is exposed crystal, hence if can i would put bullbars...it just feels naked and somehow un-gshock like without bullbars.

5500 only reason to like it is cos it is the grand daddy of the mudman.
*
The newer ones is coming back with the bullbars right?

SO set her sights on DW-D5600P-8JF, so I'm getting that for her. Question is now myself, as I don't really foresee myself getting more than 1 gshock, thus my reluctance to simply pull the trigger as I would with my other pieces.

i believe those are limited edition?
also look to have a diff module to the basic 5600, so probably slightly diff size also.
*
Saw that yesterday in Pertama, they offered it at RM600 which is insane given it probably retails around 400 or so before markup.

But perhaps the limited thing plays up the price.

Basuc 5600 no tough solar right? GWM5610 is probably another option. Just wondering if it's worth paying twice that for the GW5000..

Was at the launch of MR-G LE last week, so just sharing literally the few pics I took.

Not a great fan of G's, but my god is that how much MR-G's cost?

Has anyone shopped at Perniagaan Jam MayMay before? Their Gshock watches are cheaper than market price, 30-40% difference. Are these original Gschocks?

Yes it is, they have a physical shop as well in KL.

I'm a little late to the Casio party.
Never thought I would purchase a G-Shock but the lockdown got me looking at various different watches. I wasn't quite sure about the metal GShock initially as I've heard it's too big for smaller wrist.
I decided to take the plunge and see how it feels on my 6.25" wrist. TBH it just about wraps my wrist with some small gaps but still passable when sized properly. Overall I'm pretty pleased with it especially when it's quite loud and could be a fun watch to wear on the weekends.
