well that could be very possible. ATF do require more frequent replacement than MT gear oil. (where people typically doubles the OCI frequency compared to ATF)

more so if you're using cheaper ATF that may not withstand the long period. (eg: more than 6 months or 20k km whichever first)

i drive like a madman i still get that FC lol. prolly cuz my AFR is PROVEN to be optimal at full throttle. (dyno session lol)

before doing that, why not just try changing ATF? go to another mech, and just change the ATF don't tell them anything

what poolcarpet said. and hey, Lubegard ATF additive cost rm60-70 something iinm, platinum cost rm98 or so.

THATS WAY CHEAPER than an entire gear box, and IF it works, it'll take you MANY YEARS of additive usage (especially if you're a low mileage driver) for it to reach rm1k (AFAIK as productions are cut, our iswara gear box is getting rarer and thus prices keep on increasing, better to rebuild/overhaul it than to get recond/half cut with uncertain qualities)

IF it doesn't work, you only lose around rm100. (or rm 200-300 ++ for a full ATF flush + filter and gasket change)

not a whole lot of a risk compared to straight replacement of gearbox

yeah give that a try.
if still not satisfactory, give lubegard a try.

then if all else fails, rebuild/overhaul your existing AT gearbox

it shifts so f***ing fast, im playing my 3 speeder as a manual tranny. go figure

for best effect, do a full drain/flush first. then pour in lubegard, and fill in the rest with ATF of your choice.

Q8 semi syn ATF (or otherwise known as unitrans) would be recommended. if you have budget can consider torco's semi (or was it full synthetic? cant remember) synthetic ATF
very expensive combination, but the satisfaction is well worth it

So last week or so I went to the shop to have my spark plugs changed to NGK BP5ES, and to replace me speedometer cable as well. After switching out the spark plugs engine couldn't start, it was kicking but it wouldn't start. So the mech did some tests apparently distributor wasnt giving out any sparks...basically distributor kong already hahaha

so had it replaced for original one at RM330.

latest fuel test at fuelly yielded 12km/litre!!..i was like omfg! hahaha...but cannot confirm yet because that wasnt a full tank run..more like 1/3 tank only...but damn, I've never seen such good fc before lol.

Just got myself carburetor cleaner spray...gonna try it out later and clean my carb....any specific instructions to do that?, I read the label it only says there burst spray into carb throat at normal idle..but ive read in a lot of places thaey said need to rev and whatnot.

the brand is STP..got it for RM22 a can...could get for 20 my friend said but I didn't haggle/ask for discount, just asked for it and bought it lol.

Well, considering I'm way across the south china sea from where thundergod_cid is, i suppose carb spray cleaning is the best I can do for myself right now since I don't have the time to look for a reputable carb tuner over here (there are a few but I just don't know where and none of my friends seems to know).

Well my hand was itchy so what the heck I did it in the office parking at the fourth floor...parked far from offices at a secluded area of the parking and began spraying lol...basically I did the same thing, spray abit while idle...leave it for awhile then spray and rev....but im not sure how high to rev it till..i rev till RPM 5 a lot of smoke come out but its grey smoke so i think its normal?..if i maintain my foot the smoke will clear up after awhile then its clean.

well to be honest, i do not feel any difference at all hahaha before and after

i do my carb cleaning every 20-30k km. so very little smoke compared to the first/2nd time clean.

first/2nd ever time i did it, yeah open air burning. my car's over 200k km after all when i first did it.
now its about 290k km lol.

Hmm...well to be fair I haven't properly tested in on the road yet...done with the carb cleaning then drove the short distance to the 4th floor car wash to get my car vacuumed and washed hahaha

I'm not sure but I'm certain I did it the proper way, got smoke come out la in the beginning when i sprayed on idle and increase RPM after that while keep spraying. After that it cleared up, and smoke will only come out if I rev really high suddenly, and I think that is normal?

Btw, how much amount to spray ah?...I think I used 1/3 or 1/4 of the can hahaha

if only bush much cheaper. but a lot of work. before proceeding, explain your problem to him (and directly him, or at least that other chinese worker mun, looks sleazy but he knows his stuff lol) and do a check first. could be other problems who knows

never replaced whole axle. just the bush. bush cost very cheap, its the labour charges that kills. and even that, total cost also under rm200 IIRC

then i highly suspect it being something else

i think i mentioned that, lol.
well there could be possibility on what led the bushing to get spoiled sooner than they should.

eg: bent/damaged axle, faulty spring/absorbers
or just plain improper installation
