I think you or your friend need to feel both phones first. I'm having hard time choosing between 920 820, inclined to get 920 but after testing both at store today 820 feel mush much nicer to hold in hand. Try ask the store for unattached phones, can't really feel if the phone tied to the security thing.

Current retail price 1599 is quite high for 820 but if it drops much later would be good buy.

Actually the main reason for me to get 920 instead of 820 is because of the screen, not the camera.

the AMOLED from 820 color is too vivid, you can compare them. AMOLED is not 'natural' imo.

only thing i dislike about windows phone when a particular app you bought become free you downloaded then future u wan redownload it will charge you accordingly.

I've since started to find replacement/alternative apps I use on my Android and iOS device, on WP8. Made three purchases for far, Weather Flow, TVShow and NewsSpot. I wish Weather HD, TVShowFav and Flipboard was available, but for the time being, these would be a suitable enough replacement WP8 apps.

no notifications will be shown/given, only specialized apps that has notifications built in will have it

try going to windowsphone.com, you should be able to see the "Purchase History"...
Click on it, and it should prompt you to enter your account info...once log in you should be able to see the list of apps that you have purchased...

can check purchased history through marketplace.

any idea when is grey unit available?

i'm afraid no one know for sure...
even the nokia store people...
perhaps if you are not in a hurry to get new phone, can try to wait until the official launch to see if the grey is available...that's the time where all the accessories should comes in as well..

there is only Black, White, Yellow & Red for Malaysia as far as i know for now.

These were the colours available to pre-order then.
