Mix Radio gives you the option to stream the music (like Pandora I guess) and allows you download the mix for offline listening. Yes string, the sound quality is so-so and if you're an audiophile, you won't lose any sleep losing Mix Radio. I like to listen to it while doing my job heh heh heh so no need for high quality audio.

One thing I can't over with is how solid the phone feels like. Polycarbonate is just a form of plastic, but this plastic on this 920 combined with its weight and heft gives the impression of premium build. Something I can't say much with any previous plastic device in my possession, like my sold off SGS3 and Galaxy Note. It's seriously awesome.

QUOTE(kabrio @ Dec 21 2012, 03:22 PM) I can't sign in with my outlook.com account in the 920 even after numerous attempts, so can't download apps. Anyone facing the same problem? willing to enlighten? Thanks a lot! thanks ticke & buffa, now can oredi. actually have to use the original ID ie @live account, not the new renamed @outlook. |

QUOTE(mutt @ Dec 21 2012, 05:50 PM) Bro stringfellow, if u dont mind, since u own both ip5 n 920 which one u think is a better choice for a person who can only afford either one Oh man I seriously can't answer that. I advise you seek all the devices and platforms you're interested in and try them out. Ask yourself what are you going to use that device for, and then superimpose those needs onto a device/platform and see if it covers all/majority of your needs. I have personally invested in a lot of apps in iOS that I am locked into buying any new iteration of iPhone every year. If I didn't ,I will lose my investment in iOS coz I've spent too much on apps there. I've started spending too on Android apps. So far only free apps on WP8. My advise still stands. Seek out the devices/platform you're interested in and see if it caters all your needs. Example: if you just need a phone to call and text, any phone on any platform covers that. If you need smarter features for social interaction like Twitter and Facebook, all three major platforms covers it. Complicate things a bit, if you're into Google suite of apps, then Android is your obvious answer. But if you're like me and utilize a wide spectrum of apps, from games, work utilities, specific professional needs, social networking, entertainment and so forth, I need a platform that covers all these needs satisfactorily. So far, that platform has been iOS, but I can seriously replace almost all of those activities I can do on iOS onto an Android device now, albeit with less finesse. WP8 still needs a lot of catching up on terms of app quality, quantity and specific professional needs. Personally to me, I got my 920 as to dip my toes into the world of WP8. I like it so far in terms of UI, smoothness and uniqueness, but in terms of apps, they're lacking. Both in quality and quantity. The apps look like the less polished days of earlier Android OS. It will improve no doubt, but if you had to get into a device/platform that you need to get used to and made to,work immediately, this may not be ideal. In the end it all still comes back to: try and test drive. |

(although they have hiccup atm, until the update), Carl zeiss, image stabilizer.. oh man, photographer dream. It would be better if more MP like 808 5) You have a chance to save a company which bring us many good memory and value for money |

Nokia store in LYP already stocks screen protector for the Lumia 920. Just got mine, RM25. It's matte but I don't see it messing with the screen clarity much. Finger glides nicely over it and does not affect the screen sensitivity even after I wrapped my finger in cloth and swipe, it still registers.

I don't know if there are any difference. They only have one SP, and it's matte. It doesn't cover the entire black portion,of the front, only the display area with cutouts for speaker and front camera.

I know. I don't expect to find an official pouch for the 920. Had to go third party on that the SP also third party. It's just my measure of protecting my phone for resale purposes.

Found another weakness for Windows Phone 8. No support for VPN. My Netflix and access to US streaming sites is dead in the water.

gripe on WP8. They must show the network indicator all the time instead of having me to press the top of the screen to see. i like to check how is the coverage. i also need the battery %. easier to judge the drain. things that can be easily changed with just a minor update though.
btw anyone has a replacement app for flipboard or something like it? cant seem to find anything in the store in the malaysian region. Also would like a dedicated twitter app. This post has been edited by prash: Dec 21 2012, 08:40 PM |
