Is there a way we can use local credit card if we change the Region to US as there is only very limited application when I'm using Malaysia in region selection. Furthermore, my Xbox 360 Region is set to US too.

I very much doubt it. I bought one app yesterday from the Malaysian store. It is cheaper because 2.99USD is RM9 so it's using a RM3=USD1 conversion and if I were to use it in the US store (if I can), the credit card company would have charge a higher rate (though it's probably going to be RM9.30)

Nothing much different only thing the games can be bought in rm if you want it to be available make malaysian to use more windows phone. If not your chance is slim they dont see the potential here that's why you notice always Singapore get all the latest devices first even iphone.

If you read some ppl also complaint to pay 0.99 usd for whatsapp. But pay for gadget, foods and etc not expensive even cost 1k to 2k.

The battery life is getting better but still only last 1/2 a day at the moment. I unplugged the 920 at 6AM this morning and by 2:30 PM (8.5 hours) of usage, the battery is critical oledi.

However, I would rate that my usage today is quite heavy. No 3G used but was using the phone at least 4 hours with surfing, Facebooking, setting up my bank account manager (new app that I bought) so all in all I am quite happy with the battery performance. I expect it to last at least until the end of the day (say 8:30 PM) so about 14 hours on a moderate to light usage.

The problem is, it's so fun to play with at the moment so the screen is always on .... susah la ini macam heh heh heh.

Half day is normal for lumia series my nokia lumia 800 and 900 also light usage 8am to 6pm on edge. If heavy half day gone so must keep charging so the biggest turn off is the battery life. If u turn on 3G it becomes even worse the light usage cant even last 8am to 6pm.

Screen visibility lumia have always been superb direct sunlight beats even note 2

For me if minimum usage after the update yes can reach 12. If moderate usage there goes my battery life so I have to keep a car charger in the car.

But note 2 battery life damn impressive I online non stop regardless how long I use now 70% on Wcdma mode from 8am so about 4 hours so now I calculate 8 hours by 8pm I will still have 10% if I continue on my heavy usage but If i dont midnight will be a breeze. If light usage can last 3 to 4 days

So my turn off point for lumia 920 is the battery life overall its a great phone.

Can we make a purchase in a different country's store using our Malaysian credit card in the first place? Won't the store asks for a US billing address (for the credit card) etc etc?

If we don't have to use country specific credit card, then it would be great.

Well, I've jumped from regions to regions and I have 0 issue with it. I've used my MY credit card to purchase in SG, AU and US with 0 issue. They will ask for billing address, but it's a non-issue. You can always come up with one. Just make sure your postal code matches the state.

In order to change region (which is a long and hectic process), you need to go speak to a customer support on Xbox website. The process will probably take 6 weeks (mine took 5) to complete. While your account undergoes the change, Xbox Live will not be accessible.

Note: Don't abuse this (doing it too often). If they find out, they might just break the only hope we have to change region, pretty silly, but that's the only way for now.

There's no "best" region. Different region provides different contents. Say for example, if you set your region to Singapore, you won't be able to see M2U app (half assed) by browsing. You'll need to search for it.

In terms of pricing, it depends on the conversion and fluctuations. Sometimes you'll get it cheaper via local currency while other times, it'll be cheaper via foreign currencies. Apps go by a fixed rate (or semi-fixed) while currencies fluctuate.

Just as an example, our app on Windows 8 was priced at the lowest possible rate, $1.49. The direct conversion at Microsoft is RM4.49. That works out to be 3.0134. I've seen USD going up and down this level, so yea. Hope it clears things up.
