Alrite thanks.
So far there are a few gripes of wp7 that isn't fixed in wp8.
- No separate volume control.
- no lock screen orientation
- no text reflow on browser
- wifi stops when screen is lock.
This 4 will annoy me a bit.
there are still a lot of factors that stops me
--doesn't have a centralized place for notification( i know live tile will have notification count on the tile, but what about apps that u didnt pin, plus, it's better to see what's up in a centralized place)
--the 'Me' tile doesn't seem to send out notification upon receiving any updates inside
--background color, i just hope we can change it to our own preference
--the whatsapp of WP.. not sure they improved it or not, but it's a bad experience since last time
--it doesn't feel as 'fun' as other phones, what i mean is, less games/quality free titles compared to other platforms
--no shortcuts of any kind... let's say i wanna turn off my bluetooth, or change my wifi access point after connecting to a network already.. current uses will get what i mean
some might say it's all the small/unimportant things, but i do feel these should be taken care of, if an OS is trully polished, every OS has it's downside, I'm just stating WP's, I do not mean that other platforms are perfect, in case anyone here is offended

1. Confirmed.
2. Confirmed, although it doesn't annoy me as much.
3. No problem without text reflow for me.
4. To be confirmed. I was hoping they'd include the option. Any source to back this up?
There are plenty of things yet to be fixed from WP7 and I believe will be carried over through WP8.
1. Change of region. This can be done by going through customer service, but it is a hectic process. Why can't they just allow it as an option on our Windows Live profile? Heck, I'd even consider paying $10 for every change. Now I'm stuck to Australia, FFS.
2. Calendar. Windows Live calendar system tries too hard to be smart, ends up becoming an ass. They took regions / timezones into considerations, so some birthdays are out of sync. This only happens if you rely on Windows Live to handle birthdays. No impact on Facebook calendars.
3. Notification center. For the millionth time, Microsoft, toast is not enough. I want a summary of all notifications.
4. If your no. 4 is indeed confirmed, then this will be my issue with Microsoft / WP8. People always assume that they are "connected" to the WiFi. Take my mum for example, she's on a 100MB plan per month. I bought her a 710 some time ago. She played with her phone (connected to WiFi) then left it to idle, and it went to sleep. Then she woke it up again, tried to download Nokia Maps' maps. 1 map is over 100MB and immediately, she received an SMS from Maxis. How good an experience was it?
yeah, Wi-Fi disconnects after a shoft while of sleeping, that is being confirmed, me, aspire are (or were) using WP phones, and that is one annoying behaviour that we all faced. However, there's a workaround, I remember is one of the former Nokia rangers that taught us that, using media sharing to broadcast our media after connected to a Access Point, then go back to home(not exiting the app), and the wifi will stay alive until u are disconnected from the access point.. the downside is that u need to do that everytime u are connected to a network
