I had received the same info from my friend in Dubai, with an official launching date in the 15th.

I can Pre-Order the Lumia 920 from one of the cell provider now (in the middle east) ... I wonder when it will come out. I hate doing this pre-order stuff though ..... hate having to go to the place twice just to get my hands on it. Once it's officially launched I'll let you guys know.

been watching couple of videos out there for the Lumia 920, I gotta say it's pretty good for the camera and the new version of Nokia Drive just launches instantly!

Wait for Nokia Drive+, which is in beta now. That app is going to be amazing.

Let's hope that Whatsapp also launches immediately (although this is wishful thinking). Unless guys at Whatsapp rebuild from scratch using native code, it's near impossible to quick launch in its current state. They suck at .NET development.

Last time, some also scores nice freebies too (MS Office, Beat headsets)

if you all plan to get 920 in the future, then I suggest you all get a proper casing to protect the sharp edges because of the added weight of the phone, if it drops to the solid floor, it's gonna hurt really really bad, especially the edge of close to the headphone jack.

Nokia launched the 920 in the Middle East yesterday. Prices are higher than expected at AED2499 (RM2090 or USD680) which is in between the price of the iPhone 5 16GB and 32GB factory unlocked.

Units will be available starting November 25th. Not sure if I want to get it here but since Nokia warranty is local, might as well get it here just in case anything were to happen.

As for Whatsapp, I'm a newbie in terms of Windows Phone (iOS user here), I though WP8 is backward compatible with WP7 apps?

It is for apps that run on the same resolution, 800 x 480. Lumia 920 runs on a higher resolution, therefore, you need to wait.

i dont mind for the iphones or the galaxys but windows phones all look too beautiful to put a casing on.

I thought the unibody shell is more scratch resistant than those iPhones and Galaxies?

The prices in Saudi Arabia is slightly cheaper than Dubai, it will be SAR2499 for the 920 and 1899 for the 820. That's USD666 for a Factory Unlocked Lumia 920 which is cheap for me (I bought the iPhone 4s for SAR3699 when it was launched).

Can't wait for the 25th when they start selling it everywhere in Saudi.

selling off a few hundred units wont save them. SN2 sold 3million in 2 weeks.

Who cares.....there is always UPS & DOWNS in Business ... what matters is to learn from PAST mistakes and start releasing new interesting products which will benefit the consumer like ME ...

ADDITIONAL REMARKS: They sold off all the pre order stock in UAE and in China (in less than 30 minutes).. I have no idea about other countries but IMO, it is already shown a good start

I hope the ones they sell in Saudi comes with the Charging Plate. Now need to choose what color to buy .... my daughter is already eyeing my iPhone 4s ....
