LED is just a backlight. same like LCD.. the colour different is on panel.. the cheapest panel is TN then VA then IPS then PLS.

TN is 6 bit colour , IPS is 8 bit.. PLS is 10 bit (1 billion colour)

here some video TN vs IPS

i believe PLS panel is Samsung exclusive, its basically an IPS panel with minor tweaks to make Samsung claim the panel their own.

OLED is the future.

this guy just review asus PLS LED monitor.

oops,
well, i guess i was wrong then.

but yeah, samsung was the pioneer of PLS screen.

not to mention, the upcoming Asus high end monitor is still be using IPS panel.

Hey Guys, stuck between LG IPS277L, Dell S2740L and AOC 2757M,
I know that Dell is absurdly glossy, saw reviews online and videos on it, i dont find it that disturbing...but right opposite my PC(Monitors) is a wide open window... I do have my doubts about getting it.

Any advice on this?

go for the LG then.
glossy screen + near the window = endless screen distractions

but why not U2713HM? brows.gif

I currently have two 23" HD (1920x1080) displays, but I am feeling the need for more screen space (and some shiny new IPS displays).

I am in a dilemma as to if I should get two 27" WQHD (2560x1440) IPS displays, or three 23/24" HD (1920x1080) IPS displays.

I am a web developer working from home, so I spend quite a bit of time doing work and gaming (along with general browsing).

Assuming the displays are of similar quality, then which would be the best setup?

Which one out of these three will be more reliable?

Anyone here bought Dell U2913WM?

Guys, which one of these 2 is more worth buying? Dell S2340L or Ultrasharp U2312HM?

Get a IPS monitor for accurate colors reproduction

I recommend Dell for their quality and affordability

Hi everybody,

I have buy a LG Flatron 22" (LED) and Asus HD7770 VGA but inside the monitor box, it give me the VGA cable and DVI converter which using for plug it into VGA card because the card doesn't reserve a VGA port. Just a DVI,HDMI and Mini what2 entah..tak ingat. When I play game, sometimes it hang on screen and the screen off and on and the game continue. Why is that? I ask my friend, he said maybe it because of the converter is not good as the actual cable. At my monitor, it serve VGA and DVI cable..
