Hi, i've got a problem and I need help.

When I connect my laptop(Asus K42J) to my monitor(Philips 274E5) using a HDMI cable my mouse lags on the monitor however it works fine when I connect it using a VGA cable.

Does anyone know why and have a solution?

Hello fellow monitor enthusiasts, I'm looking for a new 27" monitor that would be a nice upgrade to my 23" 1080p. I have my eyes on the Dell U2713HM.

Are there any other better alternatives than the one mentioned? I'm primarily going for the regular 16:9 ratio.

Yo guys - anyone did Dell warranty in M'sia before? Is it easy and straight-forward? I just realized teng's pricing is so much better and lol, planning to skip the SG Dell lady already.

Wow, tri-23". I would want to do a double or tri-24" with U2414H but judging from my miniscule corner to place my PC and stuff, I will have to make do with a 24" only. Additionally, too pricey to splurge on three of it in one go, I will get murdered 

*On Asus, major bs - called their call center to no avail. The lady said that she don't know what is the delay and she will escalate it, despite the fact that this is my third chaser call to get status update and the service center never responded to any of the escalations at all 

djlah: teng's price is lower now, and it is cheaper even if I take 5 years warranty from teng than what SG Dell can offer with 3 years warranty only (SGD360 / RM950). Only prob is claiming the warranty itself, I would have to come back to M'sia to get MY Dell service instead of SG. Pity that they don't offer international warranty for this.

I got it from Dell at RM828.90 with 5-year warranty

Nvidia seems doesn't like 1920*1080 resolution going through displayport.  It will not detect as PC, instaed of HDTV resolution.

HDTV preset resolution will conform the REC709 standard color gamut, which is 16 > 235.  16 being black, 235 being white. This is also called limited range.  Blu-ray, consoles and hdmi appliances all using this color gamut.

While PC standard/VESA have full range from 0 > 255.  Display port is VESA standard. But it seems nvidia drivers has bug.  1920x1080 is NOT a VESA standard, it is a HDTV standard.  That is why nvidia driver pening.

hi, one of my monitor's acting up. it's been several days but since I havent had time lately I didnt bother.

the left side of the screen shows horizontal lines resulting in pixelation on that side, the white balance is also affected, sometimes it becomes green, sometimes purple. switching cables does nothing (DVI>HDMI>VGA all same result)

should I call dell or is there a way to fix? I've never called tech support before, is it really like what they say, call and they straight come to take (I'm in Kuantan btw) or is there going to be a lengthy conversation first?

Nvidia can let  u enable Full Range SRGB. Google about it.

Hi guys, how does the Dell U2414H compares to the old Ultrasharps like 2407WHP & 2408WHP and the newer U2410 & U2413 ? ... strictly color wise.

there is no option for selftest.

Thanks. That's so informative. I'm currently using 6-yr old 2407WHP. Warranty finished abt 1-yr ago. I'm thinking of getting 2 units of 2412M (gonna switch off the 2407whp for good or treat it just a backup) but kind of worried that it could be a downgrade to the 2407WHP. If that's the case, I'd just go for 1 unit of U2413 just to complement the 2407WHP, which I will continue to use.

Been scouting around, I was quoted RM8xx for U2412M and RM19xx for U2413, all brand new. I will try to find U2410 if lucky.

U2414H is out of question because I only eyeing for 16:10 monitor.

I was under the impression that, U2414H is U2412M successor and U2413 is the successor or U2410.

If I'm not mistaken "H" prefix means HD (16:9) and "M" means average color.

UQ series aside, those without H or M prefix is the superior among all ultrasharp (U) series.  as well carrying hefty pricetag.

Yeah but then the monitor includes a displayport to mini displayport cable that I can't get it to use due to my graphics card only comes with 2 DVI, 1 HDMI and 1 DisplayPort

Ended up have to use my own HDMI cable instead without buying a new cable.

Monitor supports 2 x DP, the miniDP is the output (MST) if I'm not mistaken. Can someone clarify?

Sifu! Dell U2414H,P2414H both also 16:9 1920x1080 only? nomore 24" with 16:10 1920x1200? Malaysia got sell BenQ BL2411PT this monitor or not? Cause its 16:10 1920x1200. And is this brand Eizo available in malaysia?

Got it working now with displayport cable, however the the color is limited instead of full rgb, everything seems to be washed out and over bright. So at the end revert back to HDMI
Stupid Nvidia display driver that causing this and there's no fix for that...
