All expert need advise here. smile.gif I am currently using the Samsung Syncmaster 2233sw. Just yesterday i started to have problem having the monitor on properly. i.e. When computer boot up, got the flash screen, then after that no display. I can turn off then on the monitor and it display the output for another 3 seconds and it turned dark again. Guess it's the life time for that monitor. Any good suggestion on the replacement model that I should be going for? I am mainly using it to play some games like D3 and counter strike + some kids game such as surf up and etc. Running on tight budget. Best is can get something below RM400 .. or RM450 max ..

DELL 23" U2312HM IPS Rm559.

Is there any other on par or better monitors with ips included in this price range or maybe cheaper?

I'm looking for a similar monitor to this in terms of performance, color saturation, after sales service etc most importantly cheaper. Whats a suitable substitute?

Ok definitely Dell is on the upperhand here service wise. What i was looking for is a cheaper substitute for a decent service. Or is it worth it to get the U2312HM for the extra price i'm paying? I'm comparing to a LG 23" IPS if not wrong its Rm420 only right? The difference Rm140 value to pay?

Received 2 x U2413 a week ago. Experience was vastly different from my last purchase of the Dell 2407 WFP doh.gif

1) No pricing on website, had to call.
2) Had to nego with sales agent. Initial quote was at least USD100 more than US price
3) Due to above, put off buying until agent emailed offering the "discounted" price. took about 2 days
4) Promised delivery in 2 busniess days
5) 1st monitor arrived in 3 busniess days, the another 1 full week even though ordered at the same time.
6) power cable supplied were chepo units. monitors would buzz when connected
7) complained and got replacement cables
8) discovered both monitors had flickering & substantial light leakage at bottom corners
9) awaiting RMA

long story short, a whole lot of hassle due to poor QC from Dell. premium price for nothing.

if you ordered it from Dell, you can call their CS and quote the order number.

I think you get the 10% straight if paying by Citi card. I don't have a Citi card so was ready to give up on the U2413, which on hindsight was what I should have done.

Happy with your unit ?

I am using Dell 23" U2312HM IPS monitor. It just age 1 month.
1 problem that I am facing is the monitor unable to display when:

1.) After the windows 7 logo finish load, the screen normally will blackout a while and enter "welcome" screen right? however, my monitor unable to display at that blackout moment until my desktop being loaded.

2.) When gaming, I shift between tab. It unable to display too. I need to on and off the monitor power button then only can display.

Anything wrong to my monitor? Btw I am using DVI-D, I tried DVI-I also same.

It's doesn't seem like a monitor problem. You have a very unusual problem *scratches head*
Definitely try to swap monitors if you happen to have a spare one around
