Yes, you need to have all settings at default in order to unlock the costumes.

One thing I don't like about DOA4's achievement is, even though I have unlocked the Gold Medal achievement for time trial, I have to manually unlock Bronze & Silver medal achievement.

Why can't they make Bronze & Silver unlock automatically after we unlocked Gold? In PDZ, if we beat the game in Secret Agent (normal) difficulty, we'll unlock achivement for both Secret Agent (normal) & Agent (easy) difficulty in one shot without having to play easy mode first.

well if u won a gold medal in say an olympic event, they wouldn't give u the silver and bronze as well would they? just kidding dude . i think its ok la, if can get gold then trying for bronze n silver shouldn't be too hard. its just a couple of matches, not the whole game like PDZ.

*i think u know by now u can change the matchpoint settings etc and still get a medal, only for costumes u need default setting.

Huh? Didn't know that. I get my gold medal by using default setting with Ayane.

My fav character in DOA, Ayane & Christie. Both are evil character.

ayane is not evil la, one of the good guys too. later Darkchaser marah u call ayane evil, LoL . i like to use leifang, hitomi.

I tried playing online, but everytime I play, I get connected to Japanese player, and the connection is bad.

Haven't tried playing with Malaysian yet.

I've unlocked all costumes for all story mode's character. Now I'm going to unlock all the costumes for time-trial characters.

Characters I use depends on who Dreamy cannot beat at the time Usually randomly between Ayane, Hitomi, Hayate, Lei Fang, and occasionally Bayman, Kasumi, Kokoro, Jann Lee or Spartan.

Ahh...I miss the old days....when my Hitomi conquered everyone and led me to my 20-win streak on Live... now I can barely string together 3 wins... Damn you Dreamy!!

Tried playing DOA4 online with some Japanese yesterday, they win the first game, and I ask for a rematch. In the 2nd game, I'm winning, and they quit in the middle of the game. What a coward!

Because they quit, I was declared as the winner, but when I check my battle record, my victory is not recorded. I guess because the match was not completed, and ended while it's in progress.

EDIT

Why there is no Kokoro's Kimono costume (the one in Intro, and E3 video)? I'm disapointed since the Kimono is quite nice.
