Guys, I need help on my DOA4.

Yesterday I bought DOA4 NTSC/J and try play online. And it said need to do an update to be able to play online so I select "YES". After 1-2 min the message popup "Update unsucessful"......I tried several times also the same problem.

My internet connection was very good, I can play GRAW yesterday night also but DOA4 update failed pulak........So anyone one of you got the same problem?? Please help ....

I think chinsc got the same problem when he tried to update. Just keep on trying and eventually it'll succeed. Luckily for me it only took me 1 try to get it ok

i too had the same problem when the update came out.... i guess that happens if the connection timeout while dloading the update (no resume feature parhaps? ).

solution: i don't know really, i stopped all downloads and IMs on the PC, just kept on trying and trying... got it in around half an hour of trying.

chinsc had the same problem too if i remember correctly.

any differences between jap and asian version?
the casing and stuff?

i dunno....i bought the jap version and it comes with an extra cardboard kasumi box

is it true that japanese games are more expensive than asian ?

It happened to me as well. Just continue trying and it will eventually succeed. I think what happens under covers is that the downloads are still resuming, kinda like the marketplace downloads. But there is probably a timer in the background that kicks in after a while and prompts the error message that the update is unsuccessful. Sloppy programming on the interface side of things.

by the way, regarding the update.. try it when u dinf out that ur line is good! no lag or anything... then straight away update it! i was having trouble by trying about 3 days... and the last time i try was after finish the Halo2 when i found that there is no lag in the game. so i try update my DOA4... wa la! 1 time straght away updated!
