Let's say you upgrade:
Keep : processor , ram , mobo.
Add : 1x 4GB RAM ( 70 ) , FSP Hexa/Gigabyte PoweRock ( 150 ) , Gigabyte 7850 OC ( 815 )

TOTAL: 1035

If you want to keep things under 1k, you can choose not to add the ram OR go for sapphire 7850 but you'll loose a year warranty.

Please take note Powerock EX 500W is not recommended. Only Powerock 500W is recommended. Go for FSP instead if you cant find regular Powerock 500W.

There are alot of brands like that,
powerock 500W is even self tested by me on its load+sound
really great psu for its price (RM149)

where are you planning to purchase the rig?
LYP running low on powerock but plenty of FSP Hexa 500W

You'll have to compare their features and price, and finally determine which you'll want.

Haha , good one .

I have few opinion

1. I would suggest enermax naxn 82 + 750w bronze semi modular over the corsair tx/hx 750 , cheaper and semi modular

2. I would suggest gtx 680 4gb / hd 7970 toxic 6gb for triple monitor setup , multi GPU sometime got bugs and consume more power , also need a more expensive mobo

3. I suggest WD brand over seagate for HDD , reason is WD gives 2 years warranty , seagate 1 year only

4. For non oc , single GPU rig , I suggest either MSI b75ma-p45 rm224 , or gigabyte h77m-d3h rm299 . Actually there is another recommendation which is Asrock h77pro4/MVP rm299 but very difficult to get stock

5. No need performance ram , just stick with value ram , no real life performance different

6. Never get Samsung optical drive

Thanks +1 this helps a lot.

[Purpose]
>Multimedia + Gaming

[Hardware that will be reuse from old rig]
>DVD Combo, mouse, keyboard

[Monitor resolution]
>1366 x 768 will do fine, if can 1080 better. HDMI.

[Game or software that use frequently]
>Main stream game

[Personal Preference Brand]

I'm just a leisure gamer, enjoy the storyline more than the graphic, for years i'm using laptop for gaming, but nowadays my lappy not able to handle them very well. A machine that can handle regular/acceptable graphic quality will do fine for me.

A very thank you for who giving recommendation. biggrin.gif
