it's the performance of i7 with i5 price. it's quad core with HT tech, since the budget can afford, why not?

Hey guys,

I Have decided this rig:
Intel I7 3770 - 895
4GB DDR3 x2 - 114
Asus P8H77-M -339
1TB WD Blue - 220
Seasonic S12 620W - 299
CM 690II Advanced - 299
DVD Writer - 60
Total:2226
All prices quoted from c-zone

Budget: RM 2000-2200

Using back my old HD 6770 1Gb DDR5*

I have few questions though:
1) Seasonic S12 620W - sufficient for GTX 580 / 590 in future?
2) Will the GTX 580 / 590 fit in CM 690II?

Will be playing mostly latest games with at least high settings

Any Suggestions will be appreciated

Any other suggestion so i can reduce my spending?

1) not recommended to get the 500 series in the 1st place, but the PSU will support a Gtx670 fine so future high-end models shouldn't be a problem

2) The GTx690 will fit so the 580 will have no problem

well... you could get the i5 3470... so thats a saving of about RM310 there

Maybe you can opt for Intel Xeon E3 120 V2 RM699.

Performance of an i7 but the price of an i5.

even i3 is good enough for gaming.

Xeon E3 1230v2 is basically the same as i7 3770, just that 1230v2 don't have internal graphics. but since you're using back your 6770, then the internal graphics is useless.

conclusion? same CPU horsepower, cheaper.

H77 compare to B75, H77 have extra SATA3 port and can do RAID.
Single channel to dual channel not much difference.
