[Budget] RM2250 - Processor, Motherboard, Ram and SSD.

[Purpose] Rendering

[Hardware that will be reuse from old rig] Display, Input Peripherals, Sata Harddisk as storage, Speakers, Casing, Power Supply Unit (Silverstone Strider ST400 400w).

[Monitor resolution] 24"

[Game or software that use frequently] Glodon Architecture and Structure (GAS 2011)

[Personal Preference Brand] Gigabyte

Sounds promising. What difference is the regular Core i7-3770 and the one with K?

sorry wasnt clear. i only have the casing. But i saw good reviews about the i3 3220 and fsp hexa 500w psu so i decided to get that.

Hey guys, I have a friend who has a budget of roughly rm2k for just the rig only. No need monitor and peripherals. Usage is for light gaming but more for tasks such as photo/video editing and etc.

What do you guys think he can get with that budget? Much appreciated!

last night i asked this one shop and he said didn't have asrock mobo. any other mobo like ASRock B75M-DGS got similar price & performance? asus, gigabyte, msi anything will do

whats your budget?? but if its just the B75 chipset you're after then can consider the MSI B75MA-P45 for RM229.. dunno what performance you're after as mobo doesn't affect PC performance much being in the same chipset

then any 1155 mobo that fits your budget & criteria will do actually... just consider these before purchasing

Socket type (should be 1155 at this stage)
Mobo size,
RAM Slots
Connectivity (Sata ports, Pcie, Pci, etc)

If I only need a cpu, already have the monitor, what is the cheapest way and price?

Just for daily usage..play some movie music drag n drop external device..surf some forum..
