I have a 1.5k budget and i'm looking for a processor, hard drive, motherboard,DVD-RW and also a casing which comes with a nice big PSU which can supply enough power for current rigs because I plan to upgrade next year from this. Urgently need this few things because my cousin pinjam me his pc and I got buy parts for it now he needs it back coz his one rosak so I have extra parts. Good proc and good mobo important of course coz i want this to last awhile.

gaming. i'm not expecting to play everything on ultra. planning to get maybe a 560ti twin fozr ii next year unless there's a better card at that same price.
*
560ti would be outdated already at that time, the newer 700series might be released already, so u plan to build one now without graphics card?

Yes playing games. Games like, Sims 3, Civilization(at high graphics if possible?)?? Something like that. Monitor i dont have any yet trolol suggestion for cheap and good one? Or can I just connect to a 32 inch HD tv?
*
sims 3 and civilization are cpu hungry games, so it depends more on cpu muscle

PSU it says "Switching Power Supply" as the title, sticker next to it Ever Lasting and Intel Pentium 4, AC input volt (115V 230V ~) Current ( 8A 4A) Frequency ( 50-60hz)
thats all... Lol
And can explain ah why AMD is not good then Intel.. there was this one mod who replied giving me a photo of all cpus and have this green bar and blue bar i dont understand lol. Lets say a A6 3500 2.1ghz so its 3x right because its triple core?? Shouldnt it be better in performance lol sorry still new tongue.gif hohoho
*
u should ditch everything from the old pc because nothing can be reused except if u have a DVD-RW

if i get this?
MSI H61M-P31 rm149
a6 3500 triple core rm249
sapphire 6670 2gb rm239
4GB  DDR3 RAM rm60
casing and dvd slot like you said sum to rm120
and power supply if mine cant used so take yours rm149
hard drive i'll take my external 2.5 sata hard drive 1 TB and make it into internal hdd can right??

Is that specs good for high gameplay performance n graphics??
*
the A6 is a APU ( CPU + GPU ) and its a AMD processor and the MSI is a Intel motherboard, if u want go cheap amd also sum up to an decent intel build, why?
Intel proc = expensive / Intel mobo = cheap
AMD proc = cheap / AMD mobo = expensive
sweat.gif

and taking out the HDD from the external HDD would void ur warranty

I made a changes to the list u suggested me a few days ago with the following:

intel i7 3770K  rm1010
Asus P8Z77-M  rm 339
Corsair 1333 4gb x2  rm116
Sapphire 7870-OC 2gb  rm899
wd blue 500gb  rm184
asus dvd-rw 24x  rm64
fsp hexa 500w  rm149
cm elite 311 plus rm139
bengQ g922hdl(2nd hand)  rm200

total RM3100

I made these changes according to my latest budget and overclocking is very likely to be happened in near future.
could you please check out if there's any compatibility issues between parts?? And would 500w power supply would be enough? and I can spare two hundreds more and would it be ok to go for x1600RAM instead of x1333?  any advice?

Thx icon_rolleyes.gif
*
500W wont be enough for overclocking, at least 550w is recommended and u will need a after market cooler, if u would spend RM200 on 1600mhz performance ram, i would suggest to put the extra money on the graphics card because u would have visually 0 performance boost from 1600mhz ram, unless u want to get for bling bling, if u really dont mind spending abit more, can go for xigmatek asgard pro for casing for good air flow and cable management

Hello, hope you guys can shed some light on my limited hardware knowledge. Thanks~  cry.gif
I just want to whether this rig handle Guild Wars 2 at Max High ? resolution might be 1080 or lesser.

Is this rig better than lenove y580 at handling Guild Wars 2?

What about other games, such as Mass effect 3 or GTA V(upcoming). Can this rig handle such games at High setting?

Thanks agains guys  smile.gif
*
no u won't very able to play gw2 at max settings at 1080p sweat.gif since its a very demanding game

Thanks for the reply   smile.gif

nah I can go up to RM 3k or RM 3.5K max, but I still prefer to say under RM 3K if possible as I want to save as much money as possible because my cellphone is also dying  cry.gif  if not I can max it until RM 4.5K  laugh.gif

That is why I choose RM 1.5K budget first, to gauge how far I can save hmm.gif

I don't think I need a monitor, I have one very old monitor. I have no idea about it's resolution but I think it can go up to 1080. But it doesn't really concern me as I can hook it up to tv. Ah and the monitor is not one of those bulky hulky design, the thin lcd type from acer 17"

Keyboard, mouse and speaker(I use  cool.gif most of the time) are also not a priority.

If I may add, I'm looking for an eco friendly rig, consume less electricity and silent  nod.gif

Sorry if I ask too much

Thanks so much for recommendation, it has given me a rough idea what to look for. I am quite impressed with the motherboard and graphic card choice and the specs that it offers.

I have spoken to my sponsor and he has agreed to increase budget to RM2.5k. What would you suggest that I change?
Also I might just salvage around for keyboards and mouse so that won't be neccesary anymore.
