Added on August 31, 2012, 4:01 pmI do not fancy this Dempsey move simply because of Fulham's asking price, they would have to halve the price for it to be considered a reasonable deal. I still have my doubts for Dempsey, he scored lots of goals but many other sub-par players do when they play for smaller teams where they are the focal point of the attack, simply put it "big fish in a small pond". Also looking at how we were playing last night, were we even creating enough clear cut chances for our strikers? Most of them were half chances at best. Suarez often has to try doing something on his own, nutmegging past players and when he gets close enough to the goal he is surrounded by 2-3 defenders with the ball rolling away from him as the GK closes down on him. So far we've only seen Sterling who is capable of doing those mazy dribbling runs pulling defenders onto him. If Suarez is the focal point of our attack and we depend on him to score our goals, shouldn't it be the midfielders or winger/forwards to do those dribbling runs to free up space or those defense splitting through or lob passes for our goalscorers to have a better chance of scoring ala 1 on 1 opportunities. Wasn't that how Owen and Torres scored their goals? By sitting on the shoulders of defenders waiting for a clever pass looking to break free of the offside trap at any moment which their pace will then set them on to score a 1v1 chance against the GK.

Exactly my thoughts, its impossible for Suarez to both make plays and finish them off all the time.

Apparently Stoke made an enquiry on Hendo too, but was rebuffed.

Poor Babel is now back at Ajax on a one year deal.
