Premiership old boy, Peter Enckelman has been cleared to play for Hearts against us. I've never seen any other keeper concede from a throw-in before.

QUOTE(chenwfng @ Aug 22 2012, 11:24 AM) I thought Joe Allen was pretty good for his debut and Lucas doesn't look like he's 100% yet. We can only hope to see the team improve from each game. I watched the Man City vs Soton game, Soton play beautifully and Man City were shaky in defense. Our boys should play with more confidence like newly promoted team Soton. Prove they are still a top 4 team. They are just like us. They underestimate the smaller teams and almost have to pay a price for it. When they face us, they will be all up for it and produce their finest because it's Liverpool and Anfield - it's a big game. Sucks but it's the reality.Speaking of which, our boys should also be all up for it as this is a big game for them as well. |

QUOTE(melt @ Aug 22 2012, 10:28 AM) the first penalty was legit as for the second one... I dont know myself but Skrtel did tripped the guy. First was legit I agree. Agger was the last man, there was a little nudge so a red card is reasonable.I dont think the ref were poor at that night. We lost because we cant convert our chances when we have. The second I afraid is not. Skrtel did not see him coming. He tried to kick the ball, but Long came in from behind unexpectedly so the kick wasn't intentional. If an unintentional handball inside the box does not warrant a penalty, this shouldn't too. |

With a week to go before the transfer window closes, it looks increasingly likely that Daniel Agger will stay, at least until the January transfer window. Have said that, there are still concerns over his fitness levels and whether or not he can stay fit for at least two thirds of the season. With Jamie Carragher clearly missing a yard of pace and Sebastian Coates still struggling to adapt to the frantic pace of English football, I reckon that Michael Dawson would have provided ample cover. Unfortunately it looks like QPR have signed him and even if they didn't, we'd probably be using the $7.5 mil to strengthen other positions. Still, we conceded 3 against WBA and I can't help but think we need to bolster our defence. If you don't concede, you can't lose.

Didn't we also sign a young highly rated scottish cb last season? is he loaned out or has he been sold?http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19334852 |

He's been used sparringly as a leftback but that's about it. If we were to use one of the young uns at the centreback position, I'd like it to be Martin Kelly. |

Unfortunately Dawson lacks pace to play a high defensive line of AVB where he is now down to 5th in the pecking order. If we were to continue defending high like in the WBA game, Dawson I feel is not the one for us.
What do you guys think about Scott Sinclair? 1 year left on his contract, wants to leave, knows BR's system, only 22, seems City is gonna snap him up for 5m which seems like a good price considering he is British. Or do you think Adam Johnson is the better choice despite his selfishness and lack of work rate required for high pressure closing down opponents? Ok. Something to cheer everyone up!!!
This Liverpool fan from.. well... Liverpool, told everyone in his website that Brendan Rodgers began his premier league debut last season with Swansea with a 0-4 thrashing. Look at what he achieved at the end of the season. So we got thrashed by West Brom, hopefully history will repeat for BR and he will be all smiling comes the end of the season. |

I've been a long time fan of Adam Johnson but I would go for Scott Sinclair, we need team players who makes good decisions, besides, he knows BR's style and he's young and have plenty of potential. What do you guys think about Scott Sinclair? 1 year left on his contract, wants to leave, knows BR's system, only 22, seems City is gonna snap him up for 5m which seems like a good price considering he is British. He's got a good strike record for a winger a well and at 5'10", could be used to attack far post crosses from the opposing flank. Also, John Barnes who was my favourite player at the time I started supporting Liverpool, rates him and has tried convincing him to play for Jamaica. Digger was simply sublime in his prime and scored an amazing goal against Brazil so his recommendation means something to me. I reckon that given the price tag, Sinclair would be a better choice than Johnson. I watched one Swansea game where he was in immaculate form. Can't remember which game though. |

I only hope we get 3rd spot, win the FA Cup, win the League Cup again and also the Europa League. And along the way, we beat Man Utd in Anfield, Old Trafford, Wembley, where ever. We meet them, we thrash them. HAHAHA. |

To be in the top 4, we are talking about getting at least 65. That's an at least 13 points improvement, quite far fetched don't you think? Realistically, I'm hoping that we get back into top 6 and have a good run in the Europa League. It would be nice to have some silverware but that shouldn't be the priority as much as rebuilding the team. |
