Credit have to be given to WBA, they press us when our defenders are passing the ball, keep their discipline and shape. If not of Suarez nutmegs and tricks we hardly get into any scoring position but then he keep missing his shots.

As much as I want Liverpool to win, things just didn't go smoothly as we think. I do feel the result is a little hard done to the team. The last minute injury of Enrique surely doesn't help. The back four seems unsettle when the game starts and also we miss our usual full backs link with our wide players. (Enrique-Borini & Downing-Johnson)
Credit to Steve Clarke's men. He engineered an effective plan against us. If they continue performance like this, I can see them being very handful when they're playing in The Hawthorns. |

We're at Anfield, I doubt we'll play it safe. Since BR mentioned he wanna turn Anfield into a fortress again. I'm expecting an open game from both sides.
Pray Reina is on top form that day and Suarez find his scoring boots. This post has been edited by Yluxion: Aug 22 2012, 04:12 PM |

This match shows we are still miles apart to play proper possession football, though I'm a little surprise BR so gutsy, field so many youngsters in this match.
Anyway, can understand BR giving thumb ups just to encourage the youngsters even though we're playing quite poorly. |

QUOTE(bitebug @ Aug 24 2012, 03:47 PM) Allen has been a first team player and representing team GB in Olympic and he has been playing for BR as well. While Sahin hardly feature in any competitive matches last season, he even plays out of position during RM pre season friendly (from what I read). |

QUOTE(digilife @ Aug 26 2012, 05:28 PM) Tonite we can actually win, have faith guys. do you have to go so low? BR , come on , dish out some good football tonite, even if we lose , as long you dun play Spearing or Carra, a loss is still not your fault. Let Carroll have a run, let Coates sweat and kick some of City legs, best is do a Rooney slash on Kun or Tevez.... We are home at the best home fans of the BPL because we sing songs to motivate the players. |

Good game from Liverpool. We started out slow though, maybe Shelvey comes in for Lucas need some time for players to reorganize. But after the 15 mins mark, we beginning to play very good passing football. We've been building up momentum since then until Skrtel scores for us from the corner.
Sterling is very compose and calm, for a 17 year old I have to admit I'm really impressed with his display in such a big game. Suarez really have to stop complaining to the referee and fishing for fouls. The more he asks for it, the more unlikely he'll get it. He needs to cut that off and focus on his game. Though we get off scoring from 2 set pieces, I wonder when we'll be starting to score from open play. I hope BR sees this and rectify it in our next home game against the gunners. Great game from Allen. He proves his doubters wrong in this game. |

I just checked Astro TV Guide, seems like there's no live for our Europa home game against Hearts.
If anyone got any good live stream, do share please. |

QUOTE(led_zep_freak @ Aug 29 2012, 10:46 AM) The lack of goals is due to lack of quality in the squad and not the system. Early days, but Laudrup looks to have done well in the transfer market to improve Swansea's goalscoring ability. Oh please. Not talking down KD, but BR is way ahead when it comes to technical & tactical organization and knowledge. You're right about not getting carried away, but it's not a wholesale change to the team is it? I reckon Brendan's philosophy is not far from what KK was trying to get us to play last season, no? |

QUOTE(rushmode @ Aug 29 2012, 11:50 AM) I'm not sure I'm reading this right.. BR did well making Swansea stay up the premiership last season but thats about it. Kenny has proved he is a great manager. BR yet to do that.. Maybe I'm being a little carried away. But deep down, I really believe he is the right person to bring us forward. Its too early to praise BR that highly.. dont get carried away. QUOTE(vreis @ Aug 29 2012, 12:10 PM) Actually I'd like to know how he'd come to that conclusion, basing on the facts BR taking notes everytime cameras panned to him?? Football has evolves so much these days. The ball is getting lighter & those fancy boots & sports wear. These days how often you still see top teams, playing with 2 strikers and deploy wide wingers to send crosses in? I hardly think of any, even on the national teams. (Newcastle maybe?)2 yrs in mgt & he's tactically & technically astute compared to veterans....to quote him, Oh Pleaseeeee..... Yes. KD has excelled and achieved so much during the 80's and early 90's, but it is the present and future we're talking about now. Last season it's KD charisma & the ability to motivate players to play their hearts out that got us through. Wondering why we fought so hard last season just to churned out a marginal win? worst goalscoring record on our own turf since 1903? Not to say the amount of transfer fund he has been given by FSG. It's evident enough he is not up to the modern day tasks. While BR, his team selection, tactical deployment, players he trying to bring in make much more sense to me. QUOTE(rickk @ Aug 30 2012, 09:20 AM) lol... Carroll transfer was past. No point to discuss la. So who is next BR will sign? Sure he wanna bring more ppl in? It's sad to see Lucas on the sideline again. First ruptured cruciate ligaments and now tearing his thigh muscle. Heard that it's quite severe that he might need another surgery. BTW Lucas out for 3months. =( I guess it's a long road for him to get complete recovery and regain full fitness again. |
