For me both Maybank and Alliance was about same at approx. RM30K, kinda "stingy" in comparison to other banks like CIMB/UOB (to which I don't know how they came up with ridiculously scary CL  confused.gif )
With the Alliance Visa Infinite nerf - thinking if I should just cut it off, doesn't seem useful anymore... but then there's no other interesting card also with my relatively conservative spendings.
*
can cancel VI unless you are planning to keep for the lounge access, but be mindful of the annual fee waive requirement

otherwise the VCC is a good replacement for continuing 8x TBP for ewallet and online spending

does VCC requires an active AVI?
*
Shouldn't be. VCC is Visa Platinum. And they always advertise it as a seperate product on their catalogue.

But better clarify with CS, and whether cancelling VI would affect the credit limit since it's shared for my case for example

QUOTE(coolguy99 @ Jul 14 2025, 09:06 AM)
Wonder if we still have TBP, can we still redeem the TBP and not pay the AF?

Maybe its better to redeem all TBP since the card is nerfed to the ground anyway and I do not see myself using the card anymore.
*
They nerfed VI but TBP value remains as it is

if you want to continue earning TBP still can use VCC, it remains at 8x for ewallet and online for now

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Jul 14 2025, 09:29 AM)
lol I only had the VI for few months... And the Platinum gives better points than a VI after revision...

Btw,
2x complimentary Plaza Premium Lounge access per calendar
year for Principal Cardholders only, for first year. For
subsequent years, unlimited access upon meeting retail
spending of RM120,000 per annum

2x complimentary PPL for 1st year only? Meaning subsequent years you won't get PPL access unless you hit 120k spending which gives you unlimited access?
*
QUOTE(wjleong15 @ Jul 12 2025, 10:28 PM)
Just clarified with their cs
Lounge access renew per calendar year
So till end of Dec we either spend 120k for 2026 unlimited access
Or stay with current 2+1
120k spend just for the “unlimited”
AF waiver subject to approval
Let’s observe whoever renew between Aug to my next renewal see how easy to get it waive

You keep harping VCC, I have a feeling it'll be nerfed a short while later..
*
that's why I say for now... just utilise it until they decide to nerf it

anyway my speculation is they won't nerf VCC for the time being since this is their best chance to get people over to VCC. otherwise they would've applied the same nerf as VP

10 July received request email, 11 new tnc.....
*
for earning TBP VI no longer useful

still acceptable if you want to use as lounge card.... but tbh there's probably better choices for lounge cards out there

already got PBVS, and CIMBVS, seeem not important
me mostly ewallet. seem no more benefit.

Do Allliance Virtual card got anychange? ewallet still got x8 point?
*
Virtual Card still remain 8x TBP for ewallet and online spent.

QUOTE(sjz @ Jul 14 2025, 03:11 PM)
conclusion, keep this card in drawer.
when wanted to travel can use the lounge 2+1 visit.

if annual fee charged, call to waive, if not able to waive, cancel the card.
*
need minimum annual spent for annual fee waiver iinm, which defeats the purpose anyway since your spending no longer provide any benefit unless you spend overseas

My next cycle will be april 26, so for the mean time i will just observe and see, if they nerfed vcc also then goodbye for alliance

VCC really good, as in the one time card number, worry free about fraud
*
VCC should be safe for now since they specifically mentioned it, otherwise it will get the same nerf as VP

ops, no more annual fee waiver

I thought all the while need min spent for annual fee waiver? That's what I understood when I applied for my card early this year. First year free, subsequent years 12k min annual spent for waiver

The above revision is only for Alliance Bank Visa Platinum Credit Card (physical) and does not apply to Alliance Bank Visa Platinum Virtual Credit Card. There are no changes to the current features of Alliance Bank Visa Platinum Virtual Credit Card.

can i use VCC and tie to google wallet to continue to receive 8x TBP?
*
Yes. VCC continue to earn 8x TBP for ewallet and online

With 8x TBP ending, where are you guys moving to?
Is it still worth keeping this card?
*
Replace with VCC. Gonna cancel VI next year before my af date if really cannot waive. Need to look for a replacement lounge access card.

QUOTE(coolguy99 @ Jul 28 2025, 09:35 AM)
Is it advisable to keep my TBP until the next 20% bonus enrich conversion campaign?

I missed the boat this time around and thinking if there is a need to rush to convert. Assuming that the annual fee can still be waived, think we can still keep this card?
*
The usual advice is to convert only when you have plans to use your miles. You risk miles devaluation if it's just sitting in your account without being used, especially for Enrich which happened many times in the past

Done removed my VI from all my ewallets

Generated 3 seperate VCC for Shopee, Grab and TnG. Actually quite a nice feature, starting to see the appeal

Wondering if anyone here have the solution for this before I contact CS....

So I've added my VCC to Samsung Wallet previously (I used the default add to Samsung Wallet option on the Alliance app instead of manually creating a card)

Recently I got a new Galaxy smart watch, and I'm trying to add the card to my watch as well, but it's asking for the CVV number in order to add.... anybody know how to get this CVV number? I can view the CVV number for all my manually created cards in the Alliance app but not the main VCC....

Hi guys, I just activated my virtual credit card. How do I sign up for online acc? And how do I get the main credit card number?
*
It's all in your app. There is no main card number, you need to generate a number either for one time use or set period/limit

Hello guys, I just got my vcc and I’ve converted few purchases to flexi payment before the statement date. However , it’s been a week and I still don’t see the amount reduced and it’s showing in my statement. I don’t get any message that my request has been rejected. I do the same on my HLB visa and it only takes 3 days for the flexi amount to be converted. I’m new to this vcc and hope someone can give me some advice.
*
It takes some time. Wait until your statement come out to see if it's reflected

imo Alliance is a bit slow when it comes to updating the transaction history
