Guys, wanna ask that will it affect the SSD lifespan by having Antivirus Scanning? Maybe like once a week.

Maybe like once a week. yepthe more you use SSD to perform read/write actions, the more you reduce down its lifespan (though its lifespan by default is longer than any average HDDs) |

QUOTE(TongCN @ May 26 2013, 02:55 PM) alot of factors comes in when determining SSD's lifespan actually, not just the amount read/written stuffs like P/E cycle, size of SSD etc etc the largest capacity SSD have the highest lifespan afaik but dont worry too much ill say, even if its the cheap TLC SSDs itll still outlive your com parts lol (depending on workload) |

Before you worry bout this, turn of the Windows system restore, it record almost every action(delete/modify ect) you do and stored in your SSD, it probably does more DAMAGES than antivirus scanning And second, Windows 7 by default (iirc) does useless weekly benchmarking(WinSAT) on your machine including your SSD, you should try to find a way to disable it as well. So I turn off every time I format or getting new pc. Right now using 8 And second, Windows 7 by default (iirc) does useless weekly benchmarking(WinSAT) on your machine including your SSD, you should try to find a way to disable it as well. |

Guys, for a meager budget of RM300 to RM400 top, which SSD would you recommend? I'm looking for something around 120GB in capacity.
