QUOTE(RowanPaladin @ May 19 2013, 08:33 PM) To all the sifus here. Is the new Seagate SS Hybrid Hard-Drive worth the money? It's 1TB and the price isn't much different from a Western D Black. Considering it. i m sure it's better than the normal HDD. It caches all frequently files into the SSD chip

Msachi = default AHCI driver from microsoft, its stable but it isn't optimized as much as Intel/AMD AHCI driver.

I think you should install Intel Rapid Storage Technology, the software probably will include AHCI driver from Intel as well.

QUOTE(mohdazuan @ May 20 2013, 06:24 PM) Oh. I thought can connect thru USB. I need a stacked HDD case that connects to USB, cause I'm using a laptop. Something like this, 8 HDDs can fit it, 3 is enough, but that one is so darn expensive. Around RM800.

My boot time around 30~35sec from the moment of power button pressed until I see everything loaded. 20sec is still very fast imo. Probably the SSD capacity used more than 50% will slow down. Mine has used up 63.9gb/111gb and I noticed a slightly slower boot speed like 2~3 sec, same to my other apps/games.

For booting speed countdown, use bootimer http://www.planetsoft.org/There are one more similar utility with more fancy GUI but i lazy to search lol Dont start countdown after pressing the power button, some computer are extremely slow because too many stuff enabled, like how many SATA controller enabled(high end board comes usually with extra 2 SATA Controller.), how many optical/HDD drives/usb on your comp, ect And if your booting start to slow down, optimize your boottime by disable useless auto-startup apps and services, instead of upgrading to faster SSD

Look at all my stars!!

hey just want to ask. i couldnt find an answer to this.
most vendors like samsung/crucial/ocz/kingston/sandisk etc will have a warantty in years but more importantly a p/e cycle and a daily host write.
for corsair neutron gtx its 5 years with p/e cycle of 3000. so whats the daily data limit or full host write limit.
