i wanna ask all bro and sifu here:

how much is the cost to change the clutch for manual transmission?
coz its hard for me to shifting gear (from neutral to 1) and also reverse gear (making a cracking/grinding sound) after i drive a while..

is there any solution?
*
About rm700 if im not mistaken..because the whole engine and the gearbox has to be taken out..and take this opportunity to change the flywheel oil seal also..

My kenari is over 10 years old

From my sister to sister to me

The car seems to be dying.

Power windows are dead , gear shifting stuck sometimes , car noisy

Always go service when something wrong or meter is up

Should i modify it or sell it or keep it that way

10 years old is lidat 1. Unless u want to spend money to replace parts, if not u sell away. But can't get a good price for this condition. My birdie already more than 10, but i always service regularly, replace defective part with original 1. I dun see anything bothers me so far. I like this car becoz of 1 thing: Save petrol. thumbup.gif

how far can your birdie go? wanted to know the benchmark for normal kenaris. auto/manual?

my K3 auto full tank RM75 can go till around 450++ KM only. don't know if thats considered decent or rather poor doh.gif
quite concern about this since my weekly mileage is around 600KM sweat.gif

my full tank can run more than 500KM woh... I dun use fancy 14" or 15" rims, use small 13" rims instead. Small rims = power + save petrol biggrin.gif

wow! amazing mileage on petrol. mine full tank can go about 350 km like that. but i do alot of start/stop traffic and when the road in front is open, 4k rpm only change gear and drive as fast as possible. LOL! anyway, mine is 2005 kenari manual.

Hi, am in need help & advise. I am driving an Auto Kenari since year 2006 188k Mileage in total, no modification to it.
Since I got this car not long, its first ever Engine Stall was entering a car park when its still bout 4months old, sent to perodua sc to find out the problem. No problem to be found.

After some time it has random engine stall but not frequent. Most of the time is during traffic jam, when I was trying to shift lane from full stop. Once I turn the power steering it stalled. So I went and check power steering motor, no issue as well.

Up until since last year onwards, the throttle not stable during idle mode (Neutral gear as well as D4 gear with breaks on). The RPM kept from approx. 1100 drop to 600 then rise again and the engine kept choking but didn't lead to engine stall problem.

Mechanic has check spark plug, idle sensor, FCU board, spark coil, cleaned throttle body with chemical cleaner, no issue with all these parts. Still can't find the causes of this unstable throttle.

I am wondering has it anything to do with torque converter / throttle body worn out? Or unstable electricity?

Of cause I service my car always within 5k mileage.

Below are the video of the engine choking during D4 gear, this happen in Neutral Gear as well.

Of cause, once I accelerate and drive, the engine is as smooth as it was new... So am not sure is there anything wrong with transmission as it shift up and down without any issue. And my kenari can go up until 140km/h without any issue.

it's both carbon deposit and engine oil. i guess you always keep your engine running without driving it?

that's because tonberry_ax's birdie is old version, the one among first gen, fc is bloody good compare to tommi88's '05 birdie, which is a facelifted version. muh_is's case is because engine is powerful biggrin.gif , that's why less effort for the engine to drive the car, hence fc can reach 450km even tekan icon_rolleyes.gif

power windows been repaired over over and again but after few days or weeks , it just stop again. Was told that the internal wiring is too old and most are broken. Need to change whole wiring which will take weeks or months ( i cannot survive without a car )

Noisy as in the engine, on idle or moving . Car service shop say no problem and say old car is like this but another shop say the engine is old and need to tune
