Dear lowyat.net's kenari user club. I would like to ask, is it still worth it if i want to buy a 2005 aerosport auto for rm19k? I know it is expensive but thats penang price.  What shall i look for? Any tips to check the car? What are the major concern of owning a kenari? I need a good fc car because my wife had to be relocated 50km from our home. So everyday 100km travel. Our wira 1.5 auto cannot tahan the fuel now very expensive. We both big size so kenari is best option. Need help from sifus in this thread. Thank you
*
Im using kelisa manual which has the same mechanical as kenari..go to work one way is about 44km..so 88km including return..very reliable and fuel saving engine..the common issue with the engine is leaking..other is the engine mounting..

No adjustables, no stabilizer bars. Driving at this speed is really scary  ohmy.gif
Didn't dare to stay longer/go further.

Just asking, is your car using the stock engine?.. Can this meter be fitted to the stock engine?..

i wanna ask all bro and sifu here:

how much is the cost to change the clutch for manual transmission?
coz its hard for me to shifting gear (from neutral to 1) and also reverse gear (making a cracking/grinding sound) after i drive a while..

is there any solution?
*
About rm700 if im not mistaken..because the whole engine and the gearbox has to be taken out..and take this opportunity to change the flywheel oil seal also..

i not sure how to explain it.
Its feel like a trailer climbing up hill.
*
it is the engine camshaft..why did u replace that?.did u change the bearing together?..it could be that bearing or underneath the camshaft lobe, there are many valve lifters for all the valves rubbing with the camshaft lobe, this could make some noise too..can read here for more info:

because i sent to workshop. and the mech. say need to change the engine camshaft.
after change it already, i notice my engine more noisy than before.  doh.gif

any recommended workshop to fixed this problem.
*
actually it is very rare to hear we need to change our camshaft..and if me, i always take back home the part that was removed from the car..it saved me once when i found the part was still okay and ask for a refund..regarding your problem, a top overhaul might solve your problem provided that camshaft is not the culprit..sometimes it was the previous installer who fail to install properly end up making more noise..

btw, my favourite workshop is actually a perodua dealer..but the price is comparable or even cheaper than an outside workshop..did full overhaul of kelisa there..cheap price and good workmanship..

Anyone know how much is the kenari windscreen exchange cost ?
my windscreen cracked due to long duration on car engine vibration(due to engine mounting unfix).
sad... a lot of things need to service and change ad.
-windscreen
-engine mounting
-absorber
*
if u are on tight budget, just change the front engine mounting. cost me only rm60 plus if im not mistaken..reduced the vibration a lot..i would say the front mounting is the one that cause highest vibration from my experience..not the the rear and side..

I understand the most time consuming and most expensive to change is the front engine mounting. Is it correct ? Please advise. TQ
*
the most time consuming is actually the rear..the biggest mounting..that one your engine has to be taken out..thats why the labour cost is high. but the front one is easy..only need to remove the bumper for access..the front mounting is about rm30 (cheap brand) if im not mistaken..and the labour is about rm30 also..very worth trying..

Thanks.

Yesterday i have called to P2SC
they quote me the price as below

front windscreen - RM550+-
Engine Mounting - RM1200+- (promotion -10%)
Front absorber - RM360+-  (promotion -10%)
Back absorber - RM210+-  (promotion -10%)

Total if repair/exchange with labour fee = RM2400+-  doh.gif  rclxub.gif

any advise from PRO here ?
*
that rear absorber price is for one or 2 pieces?..if 2 pieces i dont think if theres much different with outside shop..my place if outside shop is around rm110 per piece..better u take the one from perodua..btw, perodua original spare parts for engine such as gasket, rocker cover, what ever engine parts, it is cheaper/affordable to buy from perodua..but things for undercarriage like driveshaft, lower arm, is super expensive..rocker cover from perodua is only rm160 something.. try go outside last time my experience changed at rm250 from outside workshop if im not mistaken..now leaking again and today i went to perodua to order..

I dismantled my meter this morning as there are some faulty light bulbs. They are very small in size. Wondering what codes are these bulbs? Anyone knows whether it is available in led type?
I mean the light bulbs for P, R, N, D, 3 & 2.
*
normally 2 types of bulb in kenari/kelisa meter..big one is t10..small one can use osram 12/1.2..if the gear light is small one, then most probably osram 12/1.2..can google to see whether same or not..

the absorber is in pair.

what is rocker cover ?
maybe i should snap some picture and ask over here  notworthy.gif
*
rocker cover also known as valve cover..basically the top cover of your engine..i think common problem with kelisa and kenari that the cover seal around the spark plug is leaking..so the engine oil will enter the spark plug area..the solution is to change the whole cover..

Any idea on the cost to change the clutch set on a manual Kenari?
*
kelisa and kenari should be the same right?..about rm350 to take out the engine, and rm250-350 depends on the clutch brand..another thing to save the labour cost is to change also the engine flywheel seal..this one if later one day leaking, still have to remove engine..the labour is rm300..but the seal is only about rm30-40..

Dear all sifus,

my kenari suddenly can't auto lock by itself when i close all doors, and press the brake pedal. Besides, no brake light also. I believe it's the wiring problem, anyone can share how to diagnose or repair before i send to workshop? thanks ya
*
must be the brake light switch..try to look at your brake pedal..
