just bought xp2 last weekend from jaben gurney paragon. sounds not bad even out of the box. after letting it burn-in for about almost 2 days, it sounds even better now

sounds almost as great as my long time love crossroad mylarone series (kinda miss this brand).

Can I say better?

Yes, I also found it imitates the mylarone sound.

Hi Guys, let me share my XP3 experience. I bought 2 XP3 on dec 2012, one for my friend one for myself. Both of the earphones are facing muted 30% after 1 year of use, which is at around Jan 2014 / feb 2014 this year. After 1 more month of use, both of the earphone is totally dead at one side.. Its over the warranty period (1 year). We can't do anything about it, I believe. The sound is not bad, but you might have some problem with the cable noise. If you want to have noise cancelling or noise isolation feature, this series of earphone is not your choice. But, if you don't mind about the noise, you may go for it. Just, you might need to take into the consideration that, the earphone might only last for around 1 year time frame, or even lesser.

Sad to say but it's quite common, many reports on poor quality issues with Beyer...

Having the same problem of one side muted sound. Don't know if it's cable problem or the driver itself. If recabling it would fix it, I'll definitely recable it.

my xp2 also has loose connection on my left side, sometimes no sound coming out when the cable is in different positions. brought it to jaben gurney paragon for repair.

muted sound? means no sound on one side?

Got sound, volume is low on the right side.

Probably not the cable problem, driver is the issue I guess as I tried with bassy song, and the driver make weird sound..like the driver diaphragm already broke or loose or some sort like that.

unless cable could also cause this kind of problem, then I'd got no idea which part is faulty.

May i know which series of XP is most close likely performance with Hippo VB no dot driver bass?

Not sure how to test it out I don't know how to open up the casing to check the diaphragm.
