Just got this news from Jaben Network, Beyerdynamic had launched their latest XP series Earphone.
Pretty unexpected on this news, seem they are targeting more affordable market as well.
The pricing of RM199 is pretty crazy, especially they have 3 different sounding models in same price.
Packed with features such as tangle-free, angle fit, L-shape jack which pretty much gathered all the great design in the market, and hit hard!

Hi Guys,

Beyerdynamic had launched the latest XP earphone series which consist of XP1, XP2, XP3.
How are they actually?
Pretty amazing on the sound on the first impression, the 3 models focus on:

XP1 the beast Bass focus earphone which suitable for bass head and love punchy tight bass.
XP2 Bass reduced compare with the XP1, good balance between treble and low frequency with great handle.
XP3 the most neutral and detail out of 3, suitable for all kind of musics.

Technical Specification:
Models : Xp1, Xp2, Xp3
Frequency range : 20 – 22000Hz
Impedance : 16 Ohm
Sensitivity : 98dB
Cable length : 1.4m
Connector : 3.5mm jack plug

Feature:
-Versatile Sound option, pick the best sounding out of three
-Superb sound quality guaranteed support by countless years of experience in the industry.
-Perfect angle fit, suitable for outdoor and sport usage, creates a weightless and solid feeling
- Passive Noise isolation feature cancelled out 97% outer sound and ambience
-Smallest Flat tangle-free cable for ultra convenient portability

Beyerdynamic XP series loaded with all the top end features in the market. It has small tangle-free cable available for convenient and light usage. L-shape 3.5mm jack provides a more sturdy connection between the 3.5mm jack and headphone output from phone, it prevents cable twisting due to connection angle.
Angle shape design for more firm fit and comfortable in overall usage. It induced better isolation for outer ambience sound and deeper insertion for better sound effect.

How about the price of the 3 models?
They are cheap & cheerful, reasonable and 3 of them are same price.

Beyerdynamic XP series Q&A

Why they are not showing in Beyer Website and only available in Jaben?

BEYERDYNAMIC XP SERIES.
beyerdynamic has been launching three new in-ear headphones under the XP series label exclusively for the India/Asia/Pacific region.

The XP series was initiated by the JABEN chain, a renowned headphones specialist and trusted partner, with shops in South East Asia, China and Australia. Jaben also runs an online-store at jaben.net.

3 models will be offered: XP1, XP2 and XP3, all sharing the same design, but featuring different sound images. The sound quality and design of the products were developed in cooperation between beyerdynamic and JABEN. All three are sold at USD 58 through jaben.net.

The XP in-ears are mainly tailored to meet the needs of the Asian markets. Our research has shown that the tastes of Asian consumers are very specific, and quite different from those of our European and American customers, when it comes to sound, design and packaging. For these specific reasons, we decided to introduce these three in-ears exclusively in Asia.

So should you ever run into a review, post or comment about the XP series, please be aware that these are not copycats or anything illegal, but meant exclusively for the Asian markets. Our partner Jaben assured us to deliver only to Asian customer, but if any XP in-ears show up in your market, or in case you receive warranty claims from customers, please let us know immediately.

Do you need burn in?
*Yes, according to user Beyerdynamic Xp series starting to shine in around 70+ hours, fully perform in 150+ hours.

What can you tune about the sound?
*I did have a play with the double flange and stock single flange tips, the sound is pretty different between these two.
Double flange provides better staging and more extension on treble & bass spectrum.
Single flange offers better speed and impact, everything moved forward with more aggressive sound enhanced.

Why i don't any bass respond in the earphone? i thought they are strong?
*Most probably the fitting issue, as angel fit requires better fitting due to their natural solid in inner ear canal, twist a little bit around your ear, with noise isolated seal you can get great bass respond.

Do 3 of them just different on bass quantity?
*No they are not, base on my personal experience and customer feedback, 3 of them presented different signature to your taste, try them if you are able to.

Cable microphonic sound?
*The "bup" sound when the cable touched your body. Try to slide up the cable slider to a comfortable zone, it will reduce a lot.

beyer earphone seem from the past not always a main focus point in their product list, however this time they are paying more attention in their IEM range.

Beyer's previous attempt at IEMs failed miserably..

hopefully these new wave of models will fare better....

They look very.. OEM-ish.. IMHO.. but this is strictly speculation..

Can I say comparable? But FAD is a higher tier IEM while in every FAD there is 'something' special. I couldn't say it in words, unmentionable.
