My SRD is on 17,18th Dec..It is at shell house 100..now, i just prepared to read some latest information about shell..hopefully i will selected for the jobs dat i hv applied...

It is called Piasau 100 situated in the Piasau Camp Area where most of the expats stay there.

wat about the salary for Shell engineers? any1 have experience working wif SHELL?

I heard this year those Salary Grade G one will have better salary adjustment compare to last year, anyone mind to share the how many %?

thanks kaiserwulf..well i just need to do my medic check up, i was told.. i only know finaly when i get the job depends on the medic check up.. but i dunno how long i have to wait after i have done my check up.. any idea..hhahaha

Santana, i was told by a friend that grad will get around 2600 for a start plus many other benefits.. also not sure about that..that is what i heard santana.. but i guess the payscale is culculated by many factors, your edu level, experience, work scope and etc.. so it is very subjective.. people doing off shore pay scale if different from those in the down stream... but can anyone clarify.. i say based on what i read in the post...

yup.. something like that... u will hear when u receive the offer letter..
good amount they giving for a new grad...


pay scale is depending on experience. they pay the same rate for all business area.
whether you are in exploration or downstream u will get the same rate as their scale is depending ur education level and
experience.

Ic. From the threads here in Lowyat about Oil and Gas sector, people seem to feel that exploration/upstream will net you a higher pay. So if payscale is the same, something else must be different. Any advice?

I got a call recently from them about 2 weeks ago asking me whether I was still working and whether interested in a project manager job.

I said yes and the lady said she will call me back again regarding the SRD. Until now there is still no callback.

How long does it usually take for them to call you back and set a date for the SRD?

well it all depends i guess..well i was quite happy with the pay scale they gave.. i was actually looking at something like in the market price for starters.. but i guess shell is fair in giving their employee the pay..well i am very furtunate that i manage to complete my master in project management and got the job...hahaha that is also based on my health report later..other than that i am happy shell rewards us based on our capabilities and not just the market price

Added on December 17, 2008, 7:24 pmi reckon you should call them and confirm.. they are conducting SRD almost everyweek.. in around malaysia..depends on the venue of job...

i know SRD is conducted in KL, Bintulu and Miri... it would be better if you can contact the person who called u up and enquire about the offer.. do not take things for granted.. life is not free nor is it easy...work for it..

I think i don hav the opportunity to join SRD anymore....i think i did my 1st interview badly...
although result not out yet...

Dont sweat it bro... within 3 years from your grad year, you can still apply to join Shell... if not you have many other options of OnG company around.. plus some of them offer better pay and benefit... i read in another thread that Petronas is offering their grad RM 3500 dunno how true, it seems that people in the other tread says it is true

I have done my interview just now..haha..quite interesting experience..now i'm wifi in miri airport...boring gila..flight time is 940...so now is just 625...

Ya really good increment for fresh graduate this year, i'm so surprise heard their increment raise higher than last time althought all company trying to cut cost due to recession. Just heard that because all the JG G people work together voice out to the HR, really well done they all due to the co-operation

I have fill up the online application form(employment position) and have receive email saying shell would like to invite me for an interview.
The question here is what kind of preparation that I have to make for the interview.
from what i heard the 1st interview will be phone interview, am i right?

For mine...It can b Face to Face or Telephone interview...u decide.
