What sort of problems you're encountering? hmm.gif You may need to be more specific so that the folks here can help you out.

sorry, miss out the details. blush.gif The Asus GTX670 cannot run in both x16 PCIE3.0 of the Gigabyte Z77 G1. Sniper 3 - the screen will blackout for split seconds, sometime up to 2 seconds. The GPU work fine in a P55 setup while an older GTX260 work perfectly on the motherboard. rclxub.gif Anyway, i am sending back the motherboard next week for further checking. smile.gif

Key Fixes
Fixes an intermittent vsync stuttering issue with GeForce GTX 600-series GPUs.

Looky looky, what have we here? hmm.gif

My preliminary testing revealed that the MSI GTX 670 Power Edition is indeed as fast as a stock GTX 680. I got 45.5 FPS in Unigine Heaven 3.0, while using GTX 680 i only get 46 FPS. Very small difference. laugh.gif The fans on the Twin Frozr IV cooler is indeed very quiet at idle, but at load you can hear a very very mild "turbine" kind of noise. Not intrusive at all in my opinion. Vast improvement over the Twin Frozr III that i've experienced with GTX 560 Ti HAWK, which was really loud to my taste. At load in BF3, the Twin Frozr IV manages to keep my card's temperature at max 69 C only. Quite impressive really. Max boost clock was observed at 1175MHz. smile.gif

Assuming MSI GTX660Ti PE goes for about RM1100 as compared to the GTX670 PE for about RM1400, which would be a better buy? Bear in mind that there is a price difference of about RM300 here.

Initial reviews suggest that the performance of both are very close: http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/4869/nvid...iew/index4.html

And I heard GTX660Ti cannot handle AA?

Hard to say. Best to see the official reviews first before deciding which to get. The smaller bus width should have some effect. Let's wait and see how they perform in the reviews.

I think you should compare Leadtek GTX 670 instead? RM1099 vs. RM1499. shakehead.gif The 670 PE is a customized version, which in my opinion is expensive. On a tight budget, going for the Leadtek 670 reference is the clear choice.

It sounds like you got yourself the dreaded problem of the Asus 670 TOP, supposedly due to the unstable factory overclock. Have you tried to update the BIOS for this card? I have heard forumers here mentioned that it did solve the problem. hmm.gif

I get exactly what you meant in the first place, that's why i don't want to go down that path with you. blush.gif If you were to really compare apple to apple like that, then getting the 670 PE is still cheaper by RM60 compared to the cheapest 680. You get a real awesome cooler, a card with nice aesthetics and default higher clocks that translates to a close to or on par in performance with a stock 680. For someone who just plug and play, i guess getting a 670 PE does seem feasible. There are indeed some reasons to be happy about. Of course, i'm speaking from an entirely different perspective all together, so really....if someone wants a 680 for the sake of having the cream of the crop, then getting the Leadtek is really a no brainer. Cheers.

Not as close to the GTX 670 as we were initially told. biggrin.gif With the current pricing, the Leadtek GTX 670 at RM1099 is really a better choice. smile.gif

I wonder if Asus nVidia GeForce GTX660Ti 2GB DDR5 OC Edition for RM1134 would be a better buy than a reference Leadtek GTX670@RM 1120?

huh, of'coz it going to beat it in most test.
660ti was never intended to be in 7950range.
670 are.
