Triple buffering should be on all the time, I see no reason to off it.
Adaptive V-Sync are still early stage, it gonna need to take like 1-2yrs to reach perfection, in the mean time just use ingame V-Sync with tripple buffering on.

QUOTE(hackcremo @ Aug 18 2012, 09:39 PM) Hello guys..do u prefer lock the fps at 60@120 fps or just let the vsync off..?? I dont know u, but I usually have Vsync(traditional one) on all the time, then apply triple buffering. The current adaptive Vsync is still new and rather "inconsistent" to do its job perfectly.

QUOTE(motel266 @ Aug 19 2012, 01:57 PM) how's the performance for gtx660ti compare to gtx570? not worth to bother upgrade. if u need to upgrade from 570, u need to get at least 70-100% improvement. And even a 680 wont get that.

as of right now there is no reason for Nvidia to release GK110,especially AMD arent really beating 680 completely flat out. Yields are already bad enough for GK104. GK110 is almost crazy yield problem.

Looks like I may even starting to believe Nvidia is using this GTX200 trick again, 2 chips for the whole generation. GK106 may not even be exist at all.
if u guys forgot, on GTX200 series, Nvidia use 9800GT/GTX as GTS250 for mid end. We might see this again when they use GTX560/560Ti as mid end chip. It is hard to believe there isnt a GK104 with 2 damage SMX when 660ti is only 1 SMX disabled. So 660 is what the GK104 that couldnt even make it to 660Ti, I think Nvidia are waiting the inventory build up and see what configuration get the most 660 chips.

MSI market seems to be successful in getting on u guys. I still skeptical on this.
very simple, take a case fan put on the ur dusty GPU heatsink in reverse for 30 seconds see if those sticky dust that u build up for month will gone or not.

QUOTE(barbar554 @ Aug 22 2012, 07:49 PM) They spin backwards every time upon start-up, not every month so it shouldn't be a problem I guess. But then again... where does all the dust go? The bottom of your case ._. Doesn't really solve the problem eh? Oh well... at least it gets rid of the dust on the video card. yeah but I still skeptical that will actually remove ALL the thick dust u clog over months even u reverse spin every day. 30secs is I kinda.... skeptical since ur fan is collecting dust for many hours, I doubt that 30seconds is enough to remove all of them lol. besides, some people never shut down/boot up PC for weeks/months. hows that gonna say? lol. manual cleaning still better bro.

QUOTE(mrkenn @ Aug 25 2012, 05:50 PM) Hi everyone. Wanna ask, is it that all nvidia 600 series including gtx 660Ti and upcoming gtx 660 and gtx 650 will have STUTTER issues? Stutter issue is for the new thing Adaptive Vsync. Dont use that feature = no problem.

QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Aug 26 2012, 10:46 PM) Rule no.1: Define your budget first, then buy a graphic card within that budget. Never add extra just because the graphic card is faster than another (well if its less then rm50 i guess its an exception). Technology & games are keep improving fast, today you bought something awesome...in couple of months something better will come out that outperforms your card & more demanding games will be out and they cycle will continue. So you cant compare today's technology with future, but most of the games can adjust settings, so if more demanding game comes out later you can still play it by adjusting the settings. I also like you before, i overspent my budget & got a gtx 670. Although its a powerful card but now i dont have enough money to watercool my rig...need to wait till next year +1, I use to spend money on GPu like RM450-500, Ti4200, 9800gt are within those price range. All that have change since i got GTX570 for RM980. I super regret it when GTX460 @ half price still can max almost every game out there. Now I have to use this GTX570 longer than what I want to make it "worth" my money,

QUOTE(rc2x @ Aug 31 2012, 06:03 PM) BTW i'm somehow skeptical about this thing. Well, let's just wait and see. that picture doesnt seems to be Photochop. It is really detailed lol. GK106 is exist. There are also several leaks saying 660 is base on GK106. Cuda core = 960, 24ROP, 192bit 6GHZ GDDR5 http://wccftech.com/msi-gtx-660-power-edit...ictures-leaked/report says they will be out by Sept 6-12th. A few more days to know the truth
