I'm not sure either PC-Zone does carries the HR-03 Plus or not, why don't you take a look at the bulk order section?

Does anyone know where to get this TEC SORCERESS II

Tec Sorceress II Link

IT looks cool but dunno if it can perform well as HR03

Just 1 question Is it normal for 8800 Ultra heat to reach 80?and is it safe?
*
That TEC Sorceress is going to cost even higher than HR-03 Plus.
Not to break your bubbles but, if i were you, i'd rather go for HR-03 Plus. smile.gif

any similiar performance cooler for nvidia?
*
Nope.
There is not a single 3rd party VGA heatsink that is available for Nvidia 8800 series yet except for Thermalright HR-03 Plus. smile.gif

There's one more 3rd party VGA cooler for Nvidia 8800 Series.
But then, it only has two heatpipes compared to HR-03 Plus that has 6 heatpipes.

Still, it'll cool off your G80 core more than the stock heatsink. laugh.gif

Anyway want to give it a try? brows.gif
Not sure about the price, as i've yet to see anyone selling it here in this forum.

I do hope that the price is not more than RM150.
As if it's more than RM150, i'd rather topup and get the superb HR-03 Plus compared to this. laugh.gif

Akachester, wanna give it a try? brows.gif

hahahha ... ok ok ...

Anyway got any idea when does this beauty cooler would arrive or available in MY ???
*
Which GPU cooler you're talking about?

The Thermalright HR-03 R600 or Thermaltake DuoOrb? blink.gif

I'm interested to get the Thermaltake DuoOrb for my 8800GTS 640MB.
As i am using Thermalright HR-03 Plus on my 8800GTX 768MB.

Still waiting if someone could bring the DuoOrb into malaysian market, however, i'm quite cautios with the pricing of DuoOrb.
As said earlier, that cooler should not go more than RM150.

Because if it does goes more than RM150, might as well get another HR-03 Plus for my 8800GTS 640MB. sweat.gif

Just got a HR-03 Plus for my 8800gts. Used to idle at 58C and load at 70C+ with the stock cooler. Now it idles at 54C, but the load temp doesnt go above 58C which is nice rclxms.gif
*
Huh?
So low differences in idle?

My 8800GTX on stock heatsink used to run at idle 65degrees, Load 78
After changing the heatsink into HR-03 Plus, i got myself idle 45 degrees, Load 55.

There's gotta be something wrong with the way you fix the HR-03 Plus on your 8800GTS dude.

Check again. smile.gif

I notice that my 2D and 3D clocks are the same. I guess this is probably the problem? Btw what fan are you using? I'm using a cheapo 92mm fan laugh.gif
*
My 2D & 3D is also the same, plus, i'm on vista [you know in vista ultimate with all those aero, the graphic card always process something. laugh.gif ]
I'm using an Evercool 92MM fan too, the fan runs at 1800RPm [pretty slow for a 92MM fan, plus, it's silent, very the silent smile.gif]

Owh, by the way, i'm using Arctic Cooling MX-1 for the thermal paste. smile.gif

I'm going to take out the HR-03 Plus and test it on my 8800GTS 640MB afterwards, to check the core temp on idle & on load.
Don't have much money to buy two HR-03 Plus for both of my 8800GTX & 8800GTS. Can only afford one HR-03 Plus and as you already know, it's sitting nicely on the 8800GTX.
You know the price of the HR-03 Plus, it's damn expensive. sweat.gif

yo shawty bro, can you tell me why this happened? doh.gif
*
There's only two possibility for the motor to burn like that.

1) The motor in the fans runs too hot overnight.
2) The heatsink manufacturer uses al-cheapo motor for the fan.

You mean you fix the heatsink in the way the fins go to the back of the graphic card or? blink.gif

QUOTE(-vip3rleon9- @ Jul 15 2007, 01:48 PM)
time to run passive-cooling then.. laugh.gif

You sure you want your 6600GT to run on passive mode? sweat.gif

I'm using the same way as yours. smile.gif

QUOTE(-vip3rleon9- @ Jul 15 2007, 02:06 PM)
well the heatsink's not connected currently, but i've got a Vantec Fan Card right below my 6600GT which is now on it's maxinmum setting. do you think it's enough?
*
That should do it.
It's enough i think, since 6600GT is not as hot as 6800 series. smile.gif

Correct me if i'm wrong guys, my knowledge on old nVidia cards is kinda low. blush.gif

Yo bro u are running ur system naked right ???

if yes of course the temperature would be slightly better than within a case .....

Nayy, the temps is the same while i'm still using PC-G7 for the enclosure for all the hardwares.
Even there's some increase, it's just around 1-2 degrees only. smile.gif

reasking: in the pic, it states that 7900GT is compatible. but in the specs sheet, only 7900 GS and GTX. anyone can clarify?
http://www.thermaltake.com/product/Cooler/...2/cl-g0102.asp#
*
If it can fit 790GS and 7900GTX, offcourse it can fit 7900GT.
The mounting holes for those 3 models are just the same. smile.gif

hmm.gif, i'm curious about the new ThermalRight HR-11 VGA Cooler is it like secondary cooler or something? since from the site, it has to use with other heatsink too... icon_idea.gif
*
Yes, it's the secondary card cooler.
As almost all graphic cards do give out temps on the back of the graphic card and this is also the same thing on a processor and a motherboard, as all of them put out heat on the back of the graphic card and at the back of the motherboard.

To get the best cooling, you can add the HR-11 at the back of the graphic card so that it can cool your graphic card GPU unit more than normal.
It also acts as a back support for heavy GC heatsinks such as Thermalright V2 & Thermalright HR-03 series so that the base of those GPU heatsinks will get a better contact with the GPU die.

QUOTE(fuzagi @ Jul 31 2007, 12:50 AM)
ok thx bro.
how bout the performance? has any1 tried?
*
Sadly, it doesn't reach our malaysian market.
I'm interested on it too.
Have been asking a lot in bulk orders that carries thermaltake products, but so far, none of them got good news on it. sweat.gif
