Darn...
My 8800GS is 65degrees in idle... shakehead.gif

Even an HR-03 can't fit in my graphic card... sweat.gif

I've done sending them an email asking for a resolution if the HR-03 could fit in the Nvidia 8800 series...

Hope they will reply me with a good answer... wub.gif

Seriously, Nvidia cards are much much cooler than ATI cards...
I've used both ATI & Nvidia cards, and remarkably, the Nvidia outperforms ATI cards in both performance and temperatures smile.gif

hmmmmmmmmm................. after you guys posting, i think i need to save money for a hr 03 from sHawTY. sigh...
*
Bro, seriously, i strongly advise you get the Nvidia 7XXX AGP series, coz nvidia graphic cards is very cool mate...

Ok, here's why i'm saying it's cool:

Below are temps without any overclocking done smile.gif
XFX Nvidia 7900GT - stock heatsink [damn freaking small sweat.gif] - 55degrees wub.gif
MSI ATI X1800XL - stock heatsink [Believe me, it's damn freaking big, twice the size compared to Nvidia 7900GT stock heatsinks] - 58degrees rclxub.gif

Yeah, it's just 3degrees difference, but still, if you compare the size of the heatsink, you will know how cool Nvidia graphic card is... thumbup.gif

In the earlier days, i'm a die hard fan of ATI cards, but after i've used Nvidia graphic card myself, i'm starting to fall in love with it... wub.gif

The performance, the temperatures vary so much!!! nod.gif

***I hope i'm not out of topic here, as we are still discussing about graphic card cooling, no darksythe? biggrin.gif

I don't know bout this, does 7900GT available for AGP platform? blink.gif
If it does, i strongly suggest to you irangan to get either 7900GT @ 7900GS... thumbup.gif

yeah, that's a good point.
hav to agree that the HR price is kinda overkill sweat.gif
*
You have to remember this phrase:

"Good Things Never Comes In Cheap Prices" nod.gif

You want cheap things, then grab an al-cheapo heatsink lor...

The price of HR-03 is not overkill, it's suitable with the heatsink itself, look at the heatsink itself, and compare it with other vga heatsink with lower prices, don't you think that the price of HR-03 is suitable?

The VF-900 is RM16X, which performs lower, and the heatpipe is only one.
while the HR-03 is RM185 from me *ONLY* tongue.gif and the performance is higher, and the heatpipe is 4, then don't you think the price of HR-03 is suitable? hmm.gif

not necessarily.
the stock cooler should be adequate enough for the heat the card's been making.

for me, unless i wanna do some overclock or cannot tahan with the noise of the stock cooler, it's not worth wasting my money with a 3rd party cooler.
*
No, the 8800Stock cooler is not even enough for cooling the 8800GTS @ GTX series.

My GTS is at 68degrees at idle! [In aircond & Sidepanel opened sweat.gif ]
Just imagine the temps while the aircond is turned off... sweat.gif

I already watercoo my processor and it already cost me near RM1000 sweat.gif sweat.gif

Another watercooling kit for my 8800GTX is gonna cost me a bigger hole in my pocket. sweat.gif

There's two version of Arctic Cooling S GPU Cooler

S1 & S2

The S1 has four heatpipes.
The S2 only has two heatpipes.

Quoted from Theinquirer
QUOTE
The Accelero S1 sports four heat pipes and there will be a cheaper model with two heat pipes as well. It works with all cards up to Geforce 7950GT and Radeon X1950 XTX. The big cooler is taller than the average graphic card but it will do the job quietly.

But something stupid about this new heatsink is, it's newly launched, but Arctic Cooling don't even bother to make it applicable to Nvidia 8800 GFX Series. doh.gif

What the hell is those swiss engineers were thinkin'? shakehead.gif

Or, if you want to overclock your 9250 kaw kaw, i suggest you get the Evercool Turbo 2 thumbup.gif

I manage to overclock my old 9550 from 250MHz more than the stock speed [i didn't remember the stock speed of my 9550 d] without any Vmod done. thumbup.gif

Already sold it about two years ago. laugh.gif

Plus, the Evercool Turbo 2 is only RM85 which is much much better than the Evercool VC-RF thumbup.gif

what do u think the performance if i swap my 6600gt agp stock cooler to evercool turbo 2??

I have to check the picture of your stock heatsink first.
If not, how do i know either the Turbo 2 will beat your stock heatsink kaw kaw or not? laugh.gif

Give me a picture of your stock heatsink first lor. icon_rolleyes.gif

ahah...don't have the pic la..but just same like evercool vr-cf, but the led is just blue colour..very2 small la untill me myself didn't believe " is this thing can cool off my gc??"  sweat.gif
*
Then if the stock heatsink is just like the size of Evercool VC-RF, i'm really really sure that the Evercool Turbo 2 can cool your 6600GT like crazy! thumbup.gif

Go on, buy that, then overclock your 6600GT to the max! laugh.gif

Well, since the first day Nvidia produced the 7900GTO / 7900GTX with that kind of heatsink design, there's numerous heatsink manufacturers have been copying the design of the 7900GTO / GTX heatsink.

First, Arctic Cooling,
Then Zalman,
And now, Gaygaybytes also copied the design of the 7900GTO / 7900GTX heatsink. laugh.gif

Seems like the original design sure gives a good performance. smile.gif

But one thing though, none of the copycat heatsinks support Nvidia G80 platform. doh.gif
