@sHawTY Yo bro u are running ur system naked right ??? if yes of course the temperature would be slightly better than within a case ..... QUOTE(-vip3rleon9- @ Jul 15 2007, 01:34 PM) yo shawty bro, can you tell me why this happened? Seems like the motor overheated like sHawTY said before .. I have helped my friend with his PC 2 months back and it's the same MSI 6600GT graphic card that run into overheat situation and the whole card fried ... time to look for better third party replacement cooler now ...

Yah .. weird I wonder where to let store it within the case itself ...
hmmm and what's the purpose ... just to cool off the back of gc ...
I wonder how good it's to cool off the entire card itself..

Probably they can't find any solution for all these hot babes..
Furthermore the stock cooler most of time works just fine ... not like previously where most coolers screams like madness ...
Besides they hit the ceiling with their cooling design method ..
especially for Zalman the flower type just won't work anymore on those heat generators...
As for Artic Cooling they have the potential but so far no insight of such implementation yet ..
Too bad I'm still waiting in dying for 2900XT cooler ...

Why don't try Artic Cooling S1/S2 ???
the performance is guarantee ... and only RM100+ only....

You could always use 3rd party software such as ATI Tool to control the fan speed according to gc temperature...

Basically if u exit from the game it should run on 2D mode which would lower down the core and mem speed..
however such implementation only apply for higher end graphic card ..
so in ur case 9550 .... I think u just need a simple 3rd party solution ..
besides if not mistaken the card won't run too hot during gaming .

QUOTE(king99 @ Sep 28 2007, 08:47 PM) Can anyone suggest a good cooler for my GC if possible suggest era cooler that blows air out (like the HIS one) There's hardly any cooler that used blow out design other than Artic Cooling ..which recently they ventured into other design... so unless u specify which gc u need to cool off else it's hard to recommend any... QUOTE(jiaxun @ Sep 28 2007, 08:55 PM) My laptop benq s73g, uses ATI X1600. When I play games, the temperature of whole system went up to 85C. But when I check using NHC, the CPU temperature only shows 60+C. So I guess is the GPU that caused my laptop's whole system to up to 85C. Anyone can suggest one cooler for laptop GPU? It's always not advisable to use a gaming laptop for serious gaming coz it would just shoot up high in temperature .... very hot most of time the most effective solution would be staying an aircond room ... it can't be cooled even by any laptop cooler ...

hmm there's no option for rear exhuast blower for ur card anymore or pretty much none for any other mainstream card now days...
these are cooler from AC that could fit ur card: Accelero X2 and Accelero S1.
It would be better to get Accelero S1 for it's optimun performance without generating too much of noise ....
