I wont be using the Lan Card in a few months time coz my main mobo wud be back from FIXING.

ur cooler will not be blocking another vga for SLI/XFire cause if u doing SLI/XFire, there will be a gap (size of two pci slots), go & find a SLI/XFire mobo that places their both PCIE slots side by side, i'm pretty sure that u won't find any there will be two pci slots under the first PCIE, then another PCIE slot under the pci slot

& yes, any cooler design for SLI/XFire means the cooler won't blockin the 2nd vga card, but doe the 2nd vga card stand really under the 1st vga card, nope, there will be 2 pci slots under it

but if u have a card really under the vga, most third party cooler will block it so ur understandings of "i suppose it wont be blocking any PCI slot.." is wrong

u can find a 2pin to 3pin converter (don't ask me where to find it, i dunno)

better use the 3pin converter, lessen the burder of the vga to provide power to the cooler & don't connect the 3pin to the mobo as well, same thing, burden the mobo to provide power, just connect directly to 4pin molex la (which is directly from the psu power source), i said this bcoz of my experience

i got two mobo...
mobo one: all the 3pin on that mobo connects to a fan
mobo two: all fan connects directly to 4pin molex, including the cpu fan, luckily my psu got rpm reader, so i plug that into the cpu fan pin, thus avoiding the mobo to shut down (the mobo will shut down if no fan connects to the cpu --> unless u amend the BIOS to ignore it)...

mobo one: always end up for RMA --> every 6 month (ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe)
mobo two: still standing after 3 years, no RMA

think of it this way. if u are doing work, and some person comes up to u and ask u to do even more work, that would stress u out wont it?
same thing. the Motherboard is consuming power as it is to feed all the components on the board. by u putting another fan there, there is a tendency for the board to become unstable.

if u do connect it to the mobo, u can control the fan speed via the bios, of softwares such as Speedfan

Im a newbie actually when it comes to aftermarket coolers. I also wanna start out with air cooling..,also i would prefer a cooler that would provide cooling to the RAM sinks.

Budget?? Maybe less than RM200?? Is that enough?? Not really interested with water-cooling atm..,

Zalman used to have a seperate HSI sink for the 6600AGP since the VF700 era.
For the VF900, I am not really sure.

the only thing i don't like about zalman is the attached fan.. can we change the fan? as in removing the fan?
