I'm having this problem, not sure if it is common. The setting for the memory for seat adjustment, sometimes it don't work, sometimes it does. Wiring problem?
*
Bro, is ur car moving when u press on it? If not mistaken, when the car is moving it will not work. For safety purpose may be.

Just now i tried to press my memory seat after sent my car for tinting as they have adjusted it earlier and i forgot to press my setting before driving. Then while driving and i press "1", it doesn't work then i press it again when my car stop during traffic jam then it works.

Too bad K5 not much discount, colleague of mine just bought Sonata 2012 model, but new facelift model, 126k! only
*
Thanks for the info bro. But I will prefer K5 also even if Sonata is selling at that price. haha .. May be other ppl might be interested on that package. Tucson is also giving huge discount and tons of free gift. You might want to explore that if u r up for discounts (the hyundai at belakong is giving more than 10K discount for Tucson based on my last check few weeks ago).

wah mind to tell what other free gifts do u get?  drool.gif  drool.gif  want claim also if got extra hehehe

U got to PM ur salesman bro ... I opt for cash rebate and low interest plus some small free gifts.

after surveying & testing alot of car...
i've shortlisted K5 & 508 Premium as the option i would choose...
ytd i took my fren 508 and i felt quite dissapointed as d wind noise is noticable when cruising @ around 130km / h...
which i think is quite bad for a conti car...
another fren of my claim that his old bmw e46 will start to hear dis sound @ around 170km / h although d car adi 10 years old...

so i would like to know is K5 having dis problem also?
which is wind noise is noticable when drving @ around 120km /h...?
btw...
ani other cons that K5 have?
thx in advance...
*
I noticed K5 do have some noise when i started to cruise above 110km/h. But not too loud. For me acceptable but would like to ask the SC to check if they can do something about it during my first service.

- Meet several SA, so far he is the best SA I've ever met.
- Help a lot with loan (little problem with my loan..with his help..settle everything).
- Very fast delivery . Only 3 days after downpayment.
- Manage to meet and come to my place to sign agreement and receive/deliver documents.
- Give full detail walkthrough on all functions of the car.
- Give a best offer/deal, best discount and best free gift.

Hello, its been long long time since i last posted a comment here. I am more active in K5 club FB.
Well, after 15 months with "my precious", i am still a happy and proud owner of K5. So far Kia after sales service has been amazingly good especially service center in KU. I dont really prefer red cube except that i can molest the new car while servicing.  drool.gif
*
Bro, any reason why u don't prefer red cube? I am actually planning to send my car there next week for 1st service and i have some item need to feedback and hopefully they able to rectify that for me. If they are tak kisah attitude, then i might consider other SC. Please share with me your thoughts pls ...

I posted in K5Club in FB and someone recommended Red Cube and asked me to contact one of the SA there already.

Not the same lah.  If you make an appointment on what time, they will straight away to service when you reach there at your appointment time.

If you just drop-in, sorry lah, please wait for your turn.  They always put the first priority for those have made appointment, drop-in or drop-by, please wait...

Cheers!
*
Sigh ... but why he told me cannot make appointment leh? He only give priority to K5Club members ar? sad.gif

Always good to hear of satisfied K5 owners as yourself. There are still many who have doubts on KIA reliability. Hopefully more testimonies from owners such as yourself, will change the people's perception and increase the brand image & awareness. thumbup.gif

more and more K5 on the road too! Just now went for lunch, opposite direction got one K5, behind me another K5 ... then parked my car and have my lunch while watching my car as i double parked. Then another K5 came and dare not double park in front of me. Then he drove off. haha ...

Few reasons:
1. KU service center nearer to my house  tongue.gif
2. I am free to enter the service bay and see what are they doing with "my precious", ask questions, "on-job" discussion whereas in reb cube i could only wait at receptions and i hardly see my car.
3. red cube is less flexible
4. etc...
*
ic ... noted bro. I will just give it a try this time. If really not suitable then i will consider other places. But can i know where is KU? Kemuning Utama?

Yup, yesterday, a customer came in to view the Cerato 2.0, in the end, he booked the K5 instead. difference in Monthly installment is only less than RM200 a month, especially if one were to take the promotional interest rate of 1.88 / 1.99%.  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif
*
hahaa ... same as my case then. Initially consider Cerato 2.0 and ended up with K5 now smile.gif

[attachmentid=3537489]

some picture taken from a car blog , 2013 vs 2014 k5
for me still prefer the current k5  drool.gif  drool.gif
*
Earlier, i also thought i prefer the facelift. but after some sifu pointed out the rear brake light, i noticed that i prefer the current K5 design. Although the FL will have diffused rear light but somehow i prefer the current design. That's the reason why i go for current K5 instead of waiting. And yes, with the current offer and current pricing, i do agree that if u need to change ur car now, then no point waiting. FL will place at higher price and i will not be surprised if they are too greedy on the FL version as u can see Cerato is also placed at quite a high price already. Kia no longer come cheap.

QUOTE(Nyiwon @ Jul 16 2013, 11:09 AM)
After driving my K5 for 2 months, these are the problems i've encountered so far.

1) When going through bumper, backseat will have 'ngek' sound if no one sitting on back. If there is passenger, there will be no sound.

2) When car is not moving ( eg stoping at traffic light, aircond will become warmer. After move then aircond normal back.

3) When car stopping at traffic light , motorist will stare at my car with envy face.

Other than that, so far so good.  smile.gif
*
i faced all the 3 problems as well. Got to call bro Lim She Wei soon to rectify those issues. Just to add one more, the wind noise when i go more than 100KM/H and also the tyre sound.

As for point no3, just recently i was entering the basement car park and this dude walking in front of me and guess what? he was staring at my car while walking till he bang the pillar ... that's one awkward moment to be honest. I donno want to smile at him or to pretend i don't see anything.
