QUOTE(Hunakadoo @ Nov 11 2013, 05:06 PM) http://paultan.org/2013/11/09/spied-2014-k...-jpj-putrajaya/ the one beside K5 is what car? The rear light look chun ![]() ![]() It shouldn’t be too long now before the 2014 Kia Optima facelift makes its way into Naza Kia showrooms in the country – an example undergoing type approval evaluation at JPJ Putrajaya was invariably caught by regular photo contributor Anol Alias. The facelifted third-gen TF made its debut in New York back in March, and closer to home, was launched in Indonesia in September at the Indonesian International Motor Show. As previously mentioned, the mid-life update brings about only minor changes; in terms of reworked exterior bits, the daytime running lights on the pre-facelift K5′s bumper now sit on top of the headlamps in the facelift, and the foglamps are now a four-cluster LED array type. Find photos of the current Optima below for easy comparison. At the back, in line with newer Kia offerings, the new rear lamps feature a LED bar frame, and the bling-looking machine-finished 18-inch, 10-spoke flush-faced alloy wheel on the old car has been replaced by a new five twin-spoke design, also an 18-incher. The interior has also been refreshed, with a new seat design one of the items in the mix. The Optima facelift will continue to be a 2.0 litre job, with the Nu CVVL unit – which took over from the Theta II in the original TF late last year – being retained, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. There should be no change to the 165 PS at 6,200 rpm and 198 Nm at 4,600 rpm output numbers from the outgoing car, which made its market debut here just under two years ago. |

QUOTE(dynasty88 @ Dec 24 2013, 05:18 PM) I went to Edwin SC for my first service and left my car for inspection for 2 days. They told me the report was opened to NAZA Kia Malaysia and then forwarded to HQ Kia Korea. Since then no more follow up and update. When I call to SC, the service manager told me pending Kia Korea and the same answer when I call careline. This has been dragging for almost 4 months without any progress and the mentioned noise is getting louder which I'm not sure it is from the same part of chassis or the front suspension which was claimed working fine. What's ur problem actually? Can u further describe it? Did you join the myK5club in FB page? Have u tried to consult other SC?Actually there is 1 case where a member from K5 club facing the same issue but the provided workaround was not solving the issue completely and it looks like trial and error. Hopefully Kia has the proper solution and not the try and see method. Now I'm feeling sad that my new car is having the defects since the first day and it never been resolved. KIA, I want a problem free replacement unit instead of this |

QUOTE(dynasty88 @ Dec 26 2013, 11:07 AM) The problem is there is a constant creaking noise from the front when there is weight shift during accelerate, brake and cornering. Yes, I did joined myk5club and so far there is only one of the member's ride was troubleshoot by the technician from Kia HQ. However, the solution provided is not solving the issue completely which is with some ugly welding on the suspicious part. I haven't try with other SC so far and pending all my wishlist mod until it is resolved. arh ... i feel the pain bro. How about you write a complain email directly to KIA Malaysia? And they will arrange you to meet up with any of their service center. This kind of problem will take time to resolve but what can they do at KIA Korea? Send you a new car? Train the staffs here to troubleshoot your car? Send ur car back to Korea to fix it? LOL! ... I just donno why they are waiting for KIA Korea only ... 4 months is a bit over the limit IMHO ... This is the welding done on the member ride. ![]() I just hope u don't turn into the customer that hate K5 so much since this is a nice car where everyone should appreciate. QUOTE(hengng @ Mar 1 2014, 10:43 PM) Just friendly advises : just kissed my car while parking my car. really a bit "long" for K5 ... wrong estimation but luckily is just light kiss to the car bumper in front ... lol1.) Once you get your new car, remember to lower your 4 tires pressure to 31-33 psi. 2.) When you park your new K5, be more careful, as K5 "car head" is bit longer. Cheers! |

QUOTE(perror @ Jun 25 2014, 01:03 PM) Hi Guys, I understand that this is a K5 forum and I'm basically coming in as a Cerato owner, but we're both under Naza and was hoping to get you guys to help share my plight with regards to poor after sales service by Naza KIA. Hope you guys don't mind, and do let me know if this is out of bounds and I'd be more than glad to delete this post. Just hoping to get more shares and eyeballs on the matter. Hi Bro, chill. Seems like the FB page you shared can't be open or the post has been removed? Did you made an official complain to NAZA KIA already? And have u tried other SC? Did you join the Kia Cerato Club in FB? I suggest you try to post your question there and I am sure there are ppl out there that will help you instead of posting it here. I had a pretty bad experience with KIA after sales services today. My 3 month old Cerato had an engine oil leak since a month ago. The SC at Seri Kembangan wiped off the leak and after that it could not be found again. Naza HQ technical people took a look at it and also could not find the leak. They asked to have my car inspected by a Korean engineer which after spending only 10 or so minutes on the car, decided that there is no leak and that there's no issue, despite the photographic evidence of the leak! So after everything is said and done, they did not do anything and just flatly say there is no problem and asked me to continue to drive my car...and if anything...we have a 5 year warranty. And I asked, if my car were to run out of engine oil in some unknown location with no KIA dealership or SC, how. They say "No worries, we have towing service!". Clearly they don't know the amount of potential inconvenience that would come up should something like this happen. Needless to say I'm pretty pissed off with them having wasted my time. The tidak apa attitude is even more disappointing (trying to mince my words here). Hoping to share with you guys my experience below and hope to trouble you all to re share and spread the word so that Naza takes a look at this matter seriously rather than sweep it under the carpet like this. And potentially for all of us as well in the future should our cars <touch wood> need some serious attention. The final hope is really that they improve on their after sales service. Thanks in advance everyone! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=101...51799797&type=1 |
