Getting Started

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Feb 25 2013, 02:44 PM) Send an email to cmd@naza.com.my and mention this problem. Say that the problem is a daily problem and its not getting any better. Insist on them providing you with a full chemical cleanout of the aircon system. Thats what the Korean engineers have proposed for my car. Naza Kia will purchase the special chemical and conduct the clean-out sometime next month. mine too... especially start up after park under the sun for whole day... what we have to do is just send an email to them?

Yes send an email to them and say this is a long standing problem. Also state that you want a complete chemical anti fungal flush of the entire aircon system.

QUOTE(funnybone @ Mar 1 2013, 01:12 PM) I think the front passenger can instantly open the door once pull the lever. Maybe I'm wrong in that sense but I did see my mom doing it. I tested this again yesterday and as i mentioned earlier, only the driver's door can be opened straighaway even though its locked. All other doors cant. So if your passenger door can, then its a fault and u need to get it fixed.

Its the same even with previous generation Toyotas.

QUOTE(fahrur_07 @ Mar 4 2013, 09:10 AM) my k5 also the passenger door still can open even though i already lock the door need to wait when send my car for 1000 km service Hi fahrur, your k5 is NU engine ? In terms of locking, there is a different between ThetaII and NU engine. In the ThetaII spec, only driver side can open the door without unlocking the latch, but the rest, the passenger need to unlock the latch manually then only can open the door. As for NU and as far as I know, the passenger doors will unlock while you pull the handle twice. Eg, the first time you pull, it will unlock the latch, the 2nd time you pull the handle, the door will open. NU engine owners can confirm if this is true. This is not a defect, is some standard, there is security reason behind This post has been edited by joseph.lim: Mar 4 2013, 09:31 AM

Yes but you said ealier that she can open straightaway. Since yours is the NU engine version, the passenger doors can only be opened if you pull the lever TWICE.

No, no need to pull the lever twice, just pull it once it will open (for the front passenger), and the manual do informed that child is not recommended to sit infront... (mines Nu Engine, exactly same as my previous forte for this function)

QUOTE(funnybone @ Mar 4 2013, 03:17 PM) This defeats the purpose of central locking....sometimes we want to prevent our front passenger from opening the door, even adults I think so.... but i think must be some reason they designed like that.... Everytime my front passenger need to alight, i no need to push the unlock button, he/she just pull the lever and open the door straight away.... But i noticed 1 thing, during cruising, if the front passenger pull the lever, the lock button (beside the lever) will unlock and lock back itself very quickly automatically....so you cant open the door....

Yes. This what I would say logically to be so. Only when the car is stationary then the door can unlock. So you tried it before? But I don't think anyone dares to try this for confirmation
