thanks everyone.

let me test drive this car again and understand better. Sit in show room won't tell much.

so if i drive this car and carry 5 adults, and i go up genting highland, will it underpower? which i require to change lower gear?

I don't need strong pick up though, i don't race smile.gif

coz my current car Atos 1.1, when I step oil and hit 100, sure can hear the engine sound like "no energy". I don't want to buy a 2nd car which has same problems. This is even worst when i go bukit tinggi, max speed is 40 and really whole trip so slow and boring. I still like my car coz go pasar and nearby ok lo, but will k5 has similar problems with its body size?

I went up Genting with 2 adult. use manual mode and only use 2nd and 3rd gear, very smooth and engine is not struggling at all.

Manual mode in auto cars are totally different from normal manual cars la. U can use the paddle shifters for faster acceleration. If u wanna hold the gears in say gear 3 or 4, u can use the gear's manual mode. Or else just stick to full auto and ull be fine. U cant compare the K5 with your Atos la. Totally different. U cant fly up Genting for sure, but the K5 can take u up easily enough cuz it does have 197Nm torque.

K5 also come with 5 years unlimited mileage warranty, for the period of 5 years. i suppose we don't have to worry on the parts. and also, 5 years down the road, maybe Kia/ korean parts supplier will be stronger here in Malaysia, hence cheaper spare part?

K5 can cruise or "touge" aggrasively & nicely at Genting, ofcos you cant compare it with manual gear car performace, but with shifter and in manual mode, your gear can drag higher and u wont get the feeling that the auto gear will keep dropping your gear (without OD feature) after u manage to drag it up.. but the break were a little bit too soft on the downhill part... the only down side of doing Touge for K5 is, you wont know u on which gear when your steering is required moving around and blocked your middle indicator view when indicate your current gear possition...

thanks for sharing smile.gif

1 question on this "5 years unlimited mileage warranty"... so it means any part rosak can 100% replaced? so good?

does it come with free service for x km?

what's the average service (change oil, etc)? i heard kia service at 10,000km right?

Thanks.

Warranties cover defects not wear and tear. U still have to pay for normal replacements of parts.
