Hi Cybermaster98,

I'm much perturbed that I can't fill more than 65Litres into the fuel tank to minimize the number of times I have to visit the petrol station.

How did u managed to do it?
Btw, if all else fails, could you kindly screenshot a copy of your receipt on your 80Litres of petrol so I could actually bring it up to Naza-Kia
and check on my fuel tank capacity.

They could've installed a wrong one on my ride though.

Cheers!  smile.gif

Bros...what is the opinion on having touch screen module for K5...plsys DVD, GPS etc.?
Can Kia provide this service so that warranty not void?

Heard that someone tried to do on their own (outside/non KIA) and end up paying RM20k
to repair electronic items

Pls advice.

Hi guys! Just did my first service at Naza Kia Autocity (odometer reading in at 1187 and out at 1201). I told then my steering is not centred (11 'o clock when straight line driving) and the guy at the desk piss me off by saying centering the steering wheel requires alignment and as my mileage is >1000 km, they have to charge me for that. Luckily my SA was around and he got the mechanic to adjust the steering wheel at 12 '0 clock (without alignment and without charge). So all you new owners out there, if you wanna do free alignment at KIA, sent your ride in before 1000km, don't wait for the first service.

My service is all FOC, otherwise the charges will be as follows:
1. Labour charge - RM35.00
2. Filter assay - RM17.22
3. Gasket oil plug - RM2.00
4. Syntium 3000, 4L - RM220.00
5. Syntium 3000 1L - RM59.00

Total - RM333.22

Btw, no more umbrellas; was only given gold packets for CNY. I also did not want their free washing after the service. Generally I'm satisfied with their service, won't mind going back there again.

I don't think I wanna change my straight line neck. To hold 12L, it'll have to be a long S shape neck or maybe a W. I prefer my ori 70L tank.....

Bros, as far as I know they ( naza ) has not concluded with any dealer or factory who manufacture the right hand drive module for our K5 touch screen, so end up even if you buy the one from China now cost you ±USD600~1000/set can not match or fix to our K5. tongue.gif

I did check with one factory there but minimum order would be 500 sets and to my capacity is just too many units to sell unless we have 500 owners here willing to buy or we can approach naza to purchase where it is quite a lengthen process which I do not want to proceed it further. biggrin.gif

Is this really true? There are differences using BHP? My company policy only requires me to pump RON95, but did not state what petrol brand. However, it is quite difficult sometimes to find BHP stations compared to Shell.
Well the difference between Euro 2 and Euro 3 is reason enough to use it right? Yes i know there arent many BHP petrol stations around but when u do get one, always fill a full tank to minimise the number of fill up's.

i dont think any issue to left your tank full, but wat more important is the battery... discharge your car battery cable that connected to your battery if possible.. have a safe trip dude smile.gif
Tank can be left full and the batter can be left as it is. Ive left my car for about 3 weeks when i went to Europe and there was no issue at all. Started up immediately. Tried this with my previous Vios and also my current K5.

The nect itself wont hold 12L as i mentioned before. The top fuel sensor for the Optima tank isnt located at the very top of the tank. Its located below the max level. Its the same with all other cars. Thats why your first bar takes so long to drop while subsequent bars drop alot faster even though other driving parameters are the same.

My previous Wira, i could easily fill about 5-6L more after the first click. For the Vios i could fill about 4L more than the designated 42L. So im not surprised that i can fill more with the K5 with its long neck.

Sometimes i end up filling 60+ litres also. But generally i fill >74L at 1 time. Yes i believe im still keeping the 82L receipt somewhere. Ill search for it.

All of us have the same tank. Its just that none of you have filled to the absolute maximum.

Bros, I think you are the one who is filled "to the absolute maximum" here, but as I mentioned earlier in the post, you might end up paying more for nothing at which I don't have any concrete evidence to proof to you but to the many articles out there you may search yourself. biggrin.gif

But, ultimately this is all individual! You may have your own pumping style but I still prefer mine which is stop at the first click.[COLOR=blue] tongue.gif

Bro, my SA did offer a touch screen GPS/DVD for only RM1.8k. Assembled by KIA, as what he mention. Not sure whether it's under KIA or that branch only.

thats my workshop told me to practice that in order for your battery life goes longer... and battery need to recharge by ignite your car engine... im not sure about new car, but one of my gen2 and iswara had to practice that, or else the battery will die in 5 days time (and i need to jump start using jumper), maybe some of the electrical component is still running such as clock/ alarm and etc.. thus, it consume the battery .. and battery might dry out total if too long never start your car engine..
*
agreed...the battery still being consumed even it's in idle, mainly for our car security system..as an example, u can see the red LED blinking on your front dashboard)...so, it's better for u to remove the battery cable (red cable +ve, is enough) before leaving it for long days.

Yes i think its clear. Ive mentioned earlier that i always fill to almost overflowing. But i never asked u to follow my style for sure. You can continue pumping as u wish. No problem at all. Its your car after all. But just dont say the K5 tank capacity is 70L cuz it isnt. biggrin.gif

But one thing i must advise all new owners is to change your Nexen tyres as soon as possible. For those of you who dont know, i experienced a complete blowout of my rear tyre while driving at 130kmph on the NSE back in Nov. Although there was a puncture, but the tyre should not have blown out like that. It was a clean tear of the entire sidewall of the tyre. Its clear to me that the Nexen tyres are not designed for its assumed speed rating. When there's an impact, there are chances the tyre might blow. Luckily for me the stability control helped me regain control of the car.

When u change now (when the tyres are still new), you can get a decent trade in price. But if you keep for later, nobody will wanna accept a trade in. Right now the best tyre in the market is the Goodyear Eagle F1 Assy 2 which is better than the Michelin Pilot Super Sport and cheaper too. The closest size you can get is 235-45-R18. It costs only RM 900 (before trade in). There's a good shop in Klang which i think sells for RM870+ with allignment and balancing. And a few of our owners traded in the Nexen for about RM200 a piece which is reasonable considering that Nexen's are practically unknown.

But i would say that spending an extra 3K or less for really good tyres is worthwhile for the sake of safety. Remember that even the best safety features in the car will be useless if your tyre fails you.

That is the KIA JNS in Jln Sg Pinang, I've been there numerous times servicing my naza ria. The people there are technically competent and the boss takes the trouble to explain things to you. The workmanship is good, moreover if you go in the morning, the hawker food directly opposite is quite popular! The only thing is its getting pricey servicing there, but since you're on foc status, its a good place to send you car to. You may want to specify the engine oil to use cos the other part owner is a Korean and he uses a different oil. Me, I prefer Syntium (but that's just my personal preference).

The reason why I didn't want their free washing is that I had spent some money on detailing my car. When I look at the back of the SC where the washing takes place, the 2 guys there doesn't look like the type who cares about your car. I don't want any unnecessary scratches or swirls.
